Hey Jersey Girl...
You ask good questions! :-)
You bring up yet another issue that didn't make sense to me; the idea that there are limted men and women are more righteous so wouldn't have a spouse throughout eternity.
In the LDS version of the plan, you have ETERNITY to procreate... so what is up with limited men?
Another thing, in the LDS church all children who die under the age of 8 go straight to the CKHL. For much of human history the infant mortality rate was around 50% and we know male babies die at a higher rate than female babies, which means there are more infant male babies going straight to heaven! :-)
And... what is up with a God who couldn't make it work out to have a balanced system? :-) I mean seriously how limited is he?
And, I have difficulty with the idea that women are more righteous. Ooh, so doesn't set well with me. I just have a sense that if there is a Divine being in heaven creating the universe, this God would take into account things like, DNA, neurology, biochemistry, societal norms, culture, etc. etc. Seems to me it is much more difficult for a man to be "righteous."
:-)

This piece of it has always bothered me as well. If God is all powerful, why would he not be able to create an even number of males and females?
Also....I'm no mathematician, but I have always been told through logic studies (and I am a computer science person) that if you have an infinite set of numbers, eventually, pairings will even out. It make take a while, but it will happen...and we're talking about eternity here, right?

Brigham Young only needed the sustaining hand of the Lord. When the Lord manifested to the Saints, that the mantle of the prophet had fallen on Brigham Young, the discussions was over. Those who were not content to obey the Lord weren't fit for leadership, anyway.
Your lack of knowledge on the true history of succession makes you seem very naïve when you make statements like that above.

I taught human development for many years. The numbers are that from a slight surplus of males to females at conception, a smaller surplus at birth, males die at a rate higher than females at every year of age. By age 20 there is slight surplus of females to males.
You have to be sure you look at the birth and mortalitiy rates. Census schedules, for instance, in the US are skewed since males immigrate to the US at a much higher rate than femeales. EVen so, there are still more females in the US than males.

Please Charity, ask my wife if she would share me with the +20 single woman in her ward (if I were really "righteous" which I am not). Maybe my wife is not as true believer as You.
Your wife's choice is her own. I won't criticize her. I have simply said before, that when we reach a state where we have perfect love, we will not selfishly condemn another to a life of singleness just because we don't want to share.

Okay, I'll take a shot at this.
What does the morality rate of men matter when we're talking about eternal life?
Are you implying that only those living in the US will enter the Celestial Kingdom? If not, I'm afraid I don't understand the relevancy of your above comment. [/quote]

MorTality rate. But morality rate is pertinent, too. But to the mortality rate. It just shows that there are not even numbers males to females for sealed marriages.

Don't be silly. The only schedules I had access to were US, but I doubt they would be very different in other countires. Although, maybe we can look for extra males to China. The ratio in China now is 120 males per 100 females.,

Truth Dancer, that all but destroys any Mormon concept of Female Celestial Servitude.
In other words, based on Charity's (and the US') statistics, there is no famine of males in the Celestial Kingdom.
None at all.
I will make a few assumtions here:
1) Charity and other potential Celestial female candidates will most likely be required for Eternity to receive service from many additional men. BROTHER HUSBANDS I suppose.
2) The husbands sealed in Mortality will become subordinate husbands. Why? Those that die before the age of accountability (and the mentally challenged) will be counted more righteous on account they were not required to tarry and be tested.
Exaltation. Howdy. Interesting concept.
So was Joseph Smith speaking as a man? Yeah, a carnally minded, ignorant, wicked and misinformed man.

Charity, you have yet to back up much, if any, of your eroneous conjecture - including your frenzied character assasinations.
Now, I'm not waiting for you to produce anything. You haven't the capacity. It does not exist.
Your silence bears a sober and solemn witness to it's fiction.
I now expect another pithy and predictable personal character assasination.

Righteous–adjective 1. characterized by uprightness or morality:
I know all the definitions available by Google (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/righteous) and by common sense.
By common sense, I am righteous. This is accepted by my acquaintances, even by members of the Church. (I am NOT boasting, hehe.)
But I know as many know in a testimony, I am not righteous by the definition of that church, the church which my wife is a member of.
Even if she isn't perfect enough:

Again, who did define the righteousness inside Mormonism?

Woo hoo! I'm suddenly motivated to be righteous! The CK is sounding like a great place to be.
Party in the Goddess Suite!
