When I started posting on FAIR I, admittedly, did not make a smooth entrance. I have criticised Mormonism on FAIR, too, but I've never been nasty like the inveterate anti-Mormons. FYI, exmos were NEVER my "friends". And that goes back to RFM in 2002. Why do you think I was so attacked on Exmo-Social? Because they were "my friends"?

People like you and Ray are asking the moderaters to act the way that FAIR mods act; snooping around in peoples private message boxes and whatnot. I thought this board was created precisely to go against such things.

I want to make sure I understand your accusation. Are you saying that Scratch is a deceiver because he edited out his own profanities? That's it? He didn't change the meaning of his emails, just particular profane words?

I agree with you that snooping is a bad idea. I just want to know if anyone is lying. If neither of them has anything to hide then it wouldn't be snooping to give permission to an independent third party to provide the rest of us with the truth. I like knowing the truth. I am not siding with Ray, but Ray is the only one who is apparently willing to have it put up for everyone to see. That says something to me. If Ray is just throwing out puffery for the effect, then we could find that out real quickly and that would go along way to correctly framing one or the other party. If Ray is lying then he'll have a hard time living this one down. If Mr. Scratch is lying then I'm at least glad to know whose words I can put stock in around here.
I like this place and I want people to be truthful here. Oh and I'm sorry for hijacking this thread. This would have been better discussed over on the "Gandhi" thread. I was just responding to Ray's post here.

As someone with (apparently limited) training in psychology, you're simply embarrassing yourself. A medical professional would disagree with you.
Josh is in need of professional help, and you're going to dance around it because you don't happen to like or agree with the people suggesting it? He's been told the same by friends and associates of yours who don't happen to disagree with you philosophically.
For what it's worth, I think that telling someone he "need professional help," can certainly be intended as an insult, and I'm not sure that all those recommending this are saying it only out of their concern for jskains. (I haven't watched the you-tube clip, so I cannot comment on it.)
Charity's charge that some here are recommending that jskains seek professional help stems from his position on Mormonism is ridiculous. I have seen absoultely no pattern here that suggests this accusation has any merit. Another data point suggesting that Charity either cannot or will not try to understand the skeptics and apostates she hangs out with so much. I would hope that if she ever puts her psychological training into practice, that she develop a capacity for empathy (or at least for understanding) along the way.
