Hmm - negative dimensions. Fascinating idea!
It's true - I've only ever heard of 'higher' dimensions - never 'lower' ones.

Can you talk through the maths involved there? I don't get what you're saying...

I call that a radical interpretation of the text! ;)

If there are higher dimensions and horizontal dimensions and dimensiond in all complexes ways, then surely there will be lower dimensions. Check my blog.

I shouldn't have said 'I've never heard of 'lower' dimensions'. That was a flat out lie - sorry ;)

What I meant was...
'Lower dimensions' relative to 'our' dimensions.

i.e. We live in 3 dimensional space (or 4 dimensional space if you include time).
And then there are - theoretically - a whole load of 'higher' dimensions. (5, 6, 7, etc.)

But what about dimensions below 1? Is there a '0' dimension? -1? -2?
Basically this is what asb is getting at - I think...

If you could sensibly talk about a '0' dimension, then you might well be on your way to an answer - I would presume...

Logically there ought to be negative dimansions, and also "imaginery" dimensions in terms of complex/ imaginery numbers.

Just because maths contains concepts like 'negative' and 'imaginary', doesn't mean they always map correctly to real-world concepts.

...is there such a thing as a 'negative' apple? Or a 'negative' monkey?

There is more to 4th dimensions than "time".

I might be using a different term that the dictionary term.

di·men·sion (d-mnshn, d-)
n.
1. A measure of spatial extent, especially width, height, or length.
2. Scope or magnitude.

I will go with 2.

Abs! Where are you getting the idea that there are negative dimension?

Heh! Damn that's good!

I LOVE the comment on it:

This video is a waste of 5:00 minutes. I didn't watch the whole thing because it was HORRIBLE. The person that made this video is stupid

The person that made that video is a blinking genius. Wow, Obviously some people didn't get it.

Hey this is cool. I am really good at this intuitive business.

There is a part about negative dimensions.
