I've been very careful about saying 'thus far' :)
...'thus far' - that's my general assessment. But I wouldn't say it's my final conclusion.

I'm interested enough now that I might order 'Atlas Shrugged' and read through it properly.

I may have to reread it, as well. It's been over a decade since I read it. I'm sure it'd make me chuckle. :)

Anyway, I don't really want to get bogged down in her works with this thread. I wanted those that have said I was in a cult by reading her works, in seclusion, made me a part of a cult.

*giddy with anticipation*

Oh - so if I order the book and read it, will I have inevitably joined the 'cult' too...?
...hmmm - maybe I should reconsider...

Actually Ren, since you are so interested in Libertarianism you should read some of her works. You'd understand more the philosophy of many of those in the Americas that are espousing Libertarian ideals that are quite different than yours. That's why we were talking past each other in earlier conversations -- matter of fact it was so frustrating for me to discuss things with you and not say, "Are you certain you're a Libertarian??" ;)

And you'd maybe understand why I rejected the philosophy and the party.

Yeah -this is what I figure. I think I'd understand the 'alternate view' a lot better if I read it.
...I'll just have to try and fight the cult-waves coming off the pages... Maybe if I wear a tin-foil hat...?

EDIT: Well, I've ordered it. Get going on the banana bread...

I think the tin-foil hat is a good first step. If you find yourself swaying and chanting immediately run outta the room. Don't burn the book though -- you will immediately be shipped to Cuba for this infraction.

I went back and found the Moksha quote that seemed to kick this whole thing off--why did you take it so personally, Moniker? It hardly seems worth the trouble...

"shipped to Cuba.."? Again, wtf?

Naw, I've been told a few times that I was in a cult and people were glad I "got out". I just found it humorous -- and still do. I'm not upset -- was just bored on a Friday night. :)

I didn't assume Moksha was saying something personally to me. Didn't even consider that?? Just find it rather silly every time someone says it.

And now bored on a Saturday morning. :)

Also knew that this would give Ren something to do -- he can't help himself. Can you?
