The beast is dead!!!!
Man, this was a half-shitty weekend. It was a boil, but it wouldn't pop. I could hardly sleep on my side. I'm going to write a nasty-gram to the hospital by my house, because they treat me like a hypochondriac. After I got sick last year, the hospital that kept me told me to never ignore my headaches again. So since June of last year, I've been in that ER at least ten or twelve times. The ER department at that hospital has a crappy attitude.
When I went to the ER on saturday morning, the doctor took one look at me and undermined the situation. She gave me antibiotics that were ineffective (so I found out today), and could have lanced it Saturday. They just wanted me out of there. So I spent the whole weekend unable to eat, sleep...really do anything.
I got up this morning and went with Steve to the ER, and within an hour they had numbed it (that hurt) drained it, gave me my meds, stuffed the thing full of cotton, and sent me on my way. BF and I have been out shopping (my pants almost fell off when I was running for the bus the other day, needed some clothes that fit), looking at other apartments, and we went out to eat. I got good meds now, they're checking me for MRSA (hope it wasn't that, Steve had that...), and I'm just chilling now. I feel SO MUCH BETTER!
I have some sort of absorbent cloth stuck up under my skin, but I feel nothing compared to this past weekend. I think I was pretty evil, too. Poor BF. Had no nookie, and an evil, vomiting drama-queen who kept making him turn the TV down so I can sleep, LOL.
But I'm much better now. Thanks for the support! :-)

Wound is healing and for that I am grateful. Had a little adventure early this morning, as the cloth/cotton/bandage/wtf they put in there really started to hurt (I guess it had absorbed all it could), so I decided to pull it out. It needed to be pulled out, and I really didn't want to have to drive all the way back to the legit ER on a weekday for them to do it.
So, I got up at about 3:30 this morning, and gave a little tentative tug. Ow. But I figured it would be over soon, so I'd just go ahead and pull.
I started out in the bathroom so I could see, and ended up lying on my bed, ears rining, heart rate up, faint. Not good! LOL
But the wound is still healing. :-) Now no more self-torture.
