Well, can you picture your own mom doing this?
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"
I have a friend who’s tried it three times. The first time was just strange. He was watching TV, and felt a twisting or falling sensation (not like your body is literally falling) and then everything “pixilated”. It was like he could see THROUGH atoms. Then the people on TV started talking directly to him. Alas, the phone rang at that moment, he made the mistake of answering it, and that pulled him back to reality.
The second time he read more about it and set up a more conducive environment. He put on some music (Tool), in a darkened room, with a friend watching nearby. This time was completely different. He entered another dimension, the “membrane” dimension (somewhat akin to physics) and traveled along this membrane, visiting other places. He didn’t remember seeing people, but saw streets and things. He felt without boundaries and at one with the universe. The watching friend reported that he said things like “Oh my God, this changes EVERYTHING.” However, he could see the watching friend in “reality”, and this did intrude upon the vision.
So the third time he made sure the watching friend was not in sight. This time he had an out-of-body experience and another sensation of being without boundaries and at one with the universe. He was not able to really put this event into clear words. He has since reported that the experience seems to have permanently altered his psyche in some way 0 more at peace or something.
I think that setting up the correct environment is probably important.
I haven't read anything that indicates it could be dangerous in anyway, but it does appear, by reports, that some people find it more unnerving than mystical.
We hate to seem like we don’t trust every nut with a story, but there’s evidence we can point to, and dance while shouting taunting phrases.
So, can we all agree that we want our kids to take drugs, too?
Why or why not?

It depends on what you mean by "kids" and "drugs".
I do not advise or want anyone, at any age, to take illegal substances. The risk is too high.
Now, if marijuana were legal, I wouldn't mind my adult children using it in a moderate fashion, like alcohol.
Other drugs are just too risky, in terms of physical and emotional health, to be worth it.
And, of course, some people just need to stay away from mind altering substances of any kind, either due to addictive tendencies or other health issues.

I think it is wrong whether illegal or not. I would be disapointed if my mum did it. I wouldn't want to set that example for any children I might have.
by the way, who deleted one of my post's in here???

Hmmm. I enjoy a glass of wine with dinner nearly every night. I'm a parent. Where does that leave me?
I may be going to hell in a bucket, babe / But at least I'm enjoying the ride.

I did. You merely quoted what others had written but forgot to add your own commentary.

I don't know, where does it leave you?
I don't care who drinks or does not. I was pointing out to Shades that if I do a drug one night that lasts for a few minutes that this would be a lot less than the amount of alcohol my mother ingests. I don't scold my parents for drinking -- I just choose not to do it. I was putting it into perspective for him -- since he asked about MY mother... not you. :)
