Question though - it seems like it holds the notes longer than before. In other words, after I strum a chord, and move to the next one, it's still 'vibrating' (not sure if that's the right word) making the sound from the previous chord. Does that make sense? Is that normal with the lighter gauge strings? Or is that how it's supposed to be, and something was screwed up before?

That's awesome that they set it up so well for you. New strings and lighter strings have a brighter sound and they do resonate more. That will decrease with time. The strings that you had replaced were probably pretty dead. I tend to like the sound of dead strings on an acoustic guitar when recording, but new strings are nicer to play on. When you play open chords, you'll have some strings that continue to vibrate when changing chords...you can deaden them with your strumming hand by lightly pressing your palm against the strings. Sometimes you want those open strings to ring through. Listen to what sounds right. If you hear a string ringing that doesn't sound right with the new chord, try to mute it. As your transitions get faster, this won't be an issue.

Thanks. I wish I didn't live in an apartment so I could turn my amp up past 2. There's nothing better than annoying one's neighbors with Zeppelin riffs.

Tarski: Awesome guitars. How do you like your Les Paul? I've still never played one. My first electric guitar was a Tele, which I still love to play. Then I bought an Explorer (I'll have to post a picture of that one soon). Of my three electrics, I like the Firebird the best. It just feels right. I noticed that you have a midi controller, some great amps, mic stands, etc. It looks like you have quite the home studio. Do you record? If so, I'd love to hear some stuff.

Gaz: That pic is hilarious. Gotta love the Keytar. As far as keys go, I'd love to get a hold of an old Moog Prodigy.

Pirate: I remember you mentioning you play bass. That's awesome. I have an Ibanez Iceman bass. I'll have to post a pic of that, too. It's weird looking. I'm not very good at bass.
