Hey LifeOnaPlate. Do you think that Jazz have a Chance?
I was over at http://jazzfanz.com/boards/ and noticed that you are major poster over there with over 4700 posts.
I am sure you are a much bigger Fan than I am but for some reason I have really been drawn to these Playoffs. In fact I went to my First Jazz Game ever yesterday on Sunday and it was Intense!
My favorite Sign (and also the favorite sign of the crowd) was a Lady holding up a Sign that read "We Love Booze, Even on Sunday!". Everybody cheered loudly when they showed it on the screen. The 2nd Favorite had to be "The Only Good Laker is a Salt Laker".
So do you think the Jazz have a Chance of beating the Lakers in the series?

OMFG. I think we need to have an Intervention for LifeOnaPlate. Seems like he doesn't have much of a life apart from his LifeOnMessageBoards.

I believe the Lakers will win the series. In order to have a good shot, Utah needed to win one of the first two games. Home court advantage means a lot in this series, as Utah had a pitiful road record this season. Additionally, the younger players on the team such as Brewer, but most notably the bench- Millsap, Price, perform better at home, as does Harpring and Korver. Boozer has been relatively absent in the entire playoffs, and I believe his back is bothering him more than the team lets on. (Note how much Kobe played up his back issues.)
Since the series is now best of 3, two of those games being at LA, I believe the Jazz must win it in 6 (which would mean beating a great Laker squad 4 games straight, a virtual reverse sweep) or face elimination. I don't believe Utah can beat this Laker team on the road in a game 7. (They were extremely fortunate last year to beat the Rockets in that situation.) Granted the possibility is there that Utah could take the series in 6 or 7 games, but honestly, I just don't see them doing that. The Lakers are too good, and Phil Jackson consistently out-coaches Jerry Sloan. (Of course, Stockton used to require Sloan to call out all the plays. That duty has fallen to Williams, who prefers to take the onus himself. So maybe that is an x-factor as far as Sloan vs. Jackson. Still, Sloan is hit or miss with his sub patterns, it seems.)
My prediction is Lakers in 7. I would love to be wrong. I am also somewhat disgusted that a not-really-hard-core-fan wound up going to 2 playoff games.

I wasn't really trying to make a point, but if you want me to nail one down for you it is this:
Your life must be rather dull and empty if you must spend the majority of it posting on various internet discussion boards. Sounds like Mormonism isn't doing the trick for you. That's just the way I see it.
You need to get a LifeOnAPlate ;)
