Mister Scratch wrote:Wow. JAK's credibility has been completely destroyed as far as I am concerned. The only real reason to continue reading his posts at this point, in my opinion, would be the sport of trying to catch him plagiarizing yet again. That said, I'm glad to see marg taking responsibility for opening this can of worms. JAK is right to label her "intellectually superior"---since compared to him, she pretty clearly is. Let's just hope that she wises up to the reality of the situation here, and that she kicks JAK to the curb.
You sure know how to be a crap disturber Scratch, that avatar is a good one for you :) Since you've barely read any of JAK's posts anyhow, stopping will be a non-issue for you. Yes JAK in my opinion, should have cited or used his own words on those few occasions he didn't. Relatively speaking given the extent of his posting, probably 10,000 posts over the last 8 years or so, this hasn't been significant issue and still isn't for me.
JAK is cool, he will always have credibility in my opinion.
Ohhh look...
Biomolecules are often purified via solvent gradient batch chromatography. Here smooth linear solvent gradients are applied to carefully handle the separation between the desired component and hundreds of impurities. The desired product is usually intermediate between weakly and strongly adsorbing impurities. A center cut is required to get the desired pure product. Often the preparative resins have a low efficiency due to strong axial dispersion and slow mass transfer. Then a purification in one chromatographic step is not possible. Countercurrent movement as known from the SMB process would be required. For large scale productions and for very valuable molecules countercurrent solid movement need to be applied to increase the separation efficiency, the yield and the productivity of the purification. The MCSGP process combines both techniques in one process, the countercurrent SMB principle and the solvent gradient batch technique.
Big wow, I didn't reference and I am not going to, who cares. Why have an argument and be so bothered? Ok fair enough to point it out, but get over it. What JAK writes is still good because people learn from it whether it is "cited" or not is not the fundamental issue.
Gosh, I am so totally craving toast and mayo right now.

This isn't going to help JAK , so I'm just being consistent, and a crap disturber. It's for Scratch and Gad...at least when JAK plagiarizes he does so creatively. lol. I couldn't plagiarize like that if I tried. I couldn't take 5 words or so from someone and then put it into a new sentence, new paragraph. in my opinion, that takes a unique creative talent.

You are wicked and spiteful, marg.
Sorry about that, I hadn't thought about the selfish consequences of joking. I'll be more careful in the future.
Edit: LOL..I write a response Jersey Girl and your post disappeared, now I look like I'm schizophrenic.

I saw that post before it disappeared, so at least we're schizo together.
Why was it deleted? (Us mere mortals can only edit our posts, not splinter them into oblivion)
