Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, Drudge, David Horowitz, and Beck, and anyone on Fox News - it scares me silly that you would listen to these guys.
Why. What do you know about Horowitz?
Nothing is going to startle us more when we pass through the veil to the other side than to realize how well we know our Father [in Heaven] and how familiar his face is to us
- President Ezra Taft Benson
I am so old that I can remember when most of the people promoting race hate were white.
I am interested in seeing the evidence and arguments you have to back up this accusation you love to drop casually whenever you have an ideological disagreement with someone.
Is the only intellectual soundness to be found in that which agrees with you?
If you don't know a frothing, anti-intellectual demagogic political hack when you see one Trevor, then your statement above becomes not only moot but just plain silly.
If you'd like some examples, I'd be happy to oblige.

Fire away, Dr. D.
“I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”
Horowitz wants to destroy academic freedom in America, under the guise of promoting academic freedom. That is, indeed, Orwellian.
Again, this is the kind of carefully nurtured, cultivated ignorance that is all the harder to dislodge because it has been cultivated as an act of will.
It is not simply ignorance, but assertive self delusion that balks at serious learning, education, and thought.
Translation: you clearly have no idea what David Horowitz believes or what the Academic Bill of Rights is or what it contains. You have never bothered pursuing or reading the documents or educating yourself regarding his ideas.

He's kinda like that Ward Connerly guy, who wants to protect civil rights by ending affirmative action.

Yes, I have read about it, and that's why it scares me. Horowitz and his group promote (among other things) students spying on their professors, reporting and complaining about those that express liberal opinions in the classroom.
Sounds like BYU - the discussion we were having on another thread. Sounds like -- fascism. Horowitz and his followers are a bunch of brown shirts, trying to keep the "evil" intellectuals from teaching their young students any truths that might differ from their ultra-conservative agenda. They are trying to intimidate the professors into shutting up.
Let the students learn both sides. Let them hear the opinions of educated people. Then, they can make their own choices and more informed opinions. But to censor through intimidation or other means - that is so wrong.
The truth is the truth...shed enough light on it and the facts can speak for themselves. People can choose for themselves.

You have absolutely and unequivocally no idea what you are talking about. Hint: educate yourself about the Academic Bill of Rights first, and then we can discuss it when the point arrives at which you have some intellectual credibility on the matter.

Affirmative Action is a regime of institutionalized, status based discrimination, and has nothing whatever to do with "civil rights" as originally conceived by those who created the concept.

And we all know that original is always best. Time changes nothing. What was best for that time, is best for now and always. No exceptions.
