I love hot dogs. Cooked on the BBQ grill is hands down the best way, but boiled or microwaved isn't bad either.
When we have macaroni and cheese at my house, I like to slice a hot dog lengthways and fry it in the cast iron skillet to serve on the side. Very tasty since it gets crisp on the edges that way.
If we are talking sausages, Aidells Chicken Apple Sausage is awesome at breakfast time.

Heck yeah - I love those with breakfast. Dip 'em in a little bit of real maple syrup, and it's like a little piece of ground up miscellaneous chicken parts heaven.
I may be going to hell in a bucket, babe / But at least I'm enjoying the ride.

I don't like them but the last time I ate a hot dog, I was wasted and smothered it in ketchup, mayo and BBQ sauce. I kept dropping the sauce bottle and the woman serving thought I was taking the piss.
I say boil, I never knew there was another way to cook them.

I am stunned that you did not include "deep fried" among your choices. You claim to be a "Jersey Girl" and yet you exclude that gem of Jersey hot dog cookery known as "The Ripper"?
Personally, I did not vote, since a good dog can be prepared in myriad ways. I do enjoy them grilled, but like pan fried, boiled, and microwaved as well. It really depends more on the quality of the dog itself, in my opinion.
As a matter of fact, I spent some time working as a short order cook in Jersey many, many years ago and deep fried hot dogs at patrons request. I find the process and the product to be of such a high level of revulsion that I couldn't bring myself to list it on the poll.
Deep fried hot dogs as well as turkeys, are an abomination.
That and the fact that I don't hang out at Giants Stadium (well, I would if I could get into a Springsteen concert) nor do I come from the Pinelands though I did use the "Jersey Devil" as a CB radio handle for a few years.
You got the Jesey Devil, down and on the side.
:-D
In Scotland, deep fried pizzas are amazing. We even fry chocolate bars covered in batter. Hmm what would battered popcorn taste like?

Just wondering, what kind of hot dog sausages do you all use? ours come in a saline solution and are boiled in it.
