Gonna start a Christian Rock Band
Last night while recording, my friend said that we should start a side project and do some Christian Rock songs (to try to cash in on some of that good ole religious lucre).
Silentkid, do you want in on it. We could do a kind of “Postal Service” type thing. I’m thinking we’ll call ourselves:
Elias and the Ursa Major Massacre. Or maybe Eloheim and the Metatrons.
Whatcha think?
As a side note to the musicians on the board. I need a good software program for live midi. I will be getting Adobe Audition soon, but need a program (probably designed for DJs) that provides live midi and live sequencing as well as sound manipulation. Any ideas/suggestions? It needs to be able to run on Vista. Also, the system requirements can’t be too crazy. I’ll be using my laptop for this, and it only has a 1.7GHz (duel core 64-bit) processor, and 4GB of RAM (unfortunately, I’m on a 32-bit OS, so it only addresses 4GB total memory, so only about 3.45GB of the RAM is utilized).

Reminds me of Eric Cartman's scheme in an episode of South Park. He just wrote love songs, but any place the word "baby" would appear, he'd sing "Jesus" instead. The track list from his album:
"The Body of Christ"
"Christ Again"
"A Night with the Lord"
"Touch Me Jesus"
"I Found Jesus (With Someone Else)"
"Saviour Self"
"Christ What a Day"
"I Wasn't Born Again Yesterday"
"Three Times My Savior"
"Jesus Touched Me"
"Pleasing Jesus"
It worked for him. Hope it works for you.

You beat me to it
LInk to insanely large image
And crawling on the planet's face
Some insects called the human race
Lost in time
And lost in space...and meaning

Fantastic.
I’m thinking the first song will be something like:
”Jesus, my wife spanked me
I was bad, but you’ll be proud of me
As the hand met skin, I was meek
I did what you said: turned the other cheek”

Tal has a hit song that fits well within a Mormon spoof song..
"It's all a big fat lie" instead of "She's so high"
God is blood, flesh and bone
old joe smith bemoaned
Even touch, smell, sight and sound...
But somehow I can't believe
That any of that ACTUALLY happened
I know too much to belong
And know nothing like that did happen
yeah, yeah
(Chorus from Mo'tab sounding choir)
'Cause it is all a big fat lie.........
What I thought was high above me, is so ugly
A big fat lie.........
Like golden plates, priesthood power, or polygamy
All a big fat lie.........
All well below me, now now
Mormons think they are first class and fancy free
and high above society
Like they have the best of everything

If any of you haven't seen this one, you really owe it to yourself to watch it right now. It's available in its entirety at: Christian Hard Rock.
