Lakers versus Celtics. David Stern is ecstatic. He got the refs to do his bidding. A few bad calls here and there, some bets made and money won, and the two teams that Stern has wanted to see back in the finals are finally back. Garnett's fierce underbite versus Kobe's ego. Tattoos abound. Who wins? Who cares.

Go Lakers! I love Kobe.
Dammit, gramps. I'm a Kings fan. I have to hate the Lakers. But I hate Boston, too.
Since I was a kid, I have either been a Lakers or a Celtics fan. I was a Bill Russell Celtics fan, then a James Worthy/Magic Lakers fan. I was a Jordan Bulls fan and I have been a Kobe lakers fan since the shak attack days. Gosh, it is great to see Kobe so happy and playing well.
My rule with the NBA is to watch only the fourth quarter. The first three quarters don't really matter. If I try to watch a whole game these days, I fall asleep.
I pick Lakers in 6 games. Maybe 5. They are on a roll.

I working on it, right here in the off-topic forum in my own thread. Awesome. ;)
No one deserves Godhood more, in my opinion. :)

Finals Game 1 syopsis: Kobe doesn't trust his teammates enough, shoots too much, and scores too little. KG juts his lower jaw, makes intense faces, and yells a lot. Paul Pierce gets stepped on, falls to the floor, is carried off the court by teammates, returns a few minutes later to triumphant applause, and hits a couple of consecutive threes. Perkins looks like an angry dude. Derek Fisher has a huge ass (sorry, he does). The refs still don't know the difference between a charge and a blocking foul, but neither do I, so it's okay. Celtics win.
