I really wouldn't mind getting one except for one thing... I'd be stuck with AT&T's craptacular service. So I'll stick with my N95 for now.

3G is a batch of different mobile communications standards designed for much higher bandwidth then previous mobile technologies. Upside with 3G tech is the higher bandwidth means you can actually do something useful over the internet with your phone. Down side is 3G is a power hog and will drain your battery fast, so using 3G networks is best done in your car or someplace else you can plug your phone into a charger.

iPhone users are once again getting all happy in the pantsies about getting their hands on technology the rest of us have had for over three years now (Verizon's been running 3G via CDMA2000 1x EV-DO since 2004 I think). Seriously, do Apple/Mac users have a fetish with getting laughed at over getting excited about Steve Jobs finally letting them have technology that the rest of the free world had a few years ago?

Sure on your crapberry and Tre'ho phones. All of my colleagues at work who have Crapberry phones do nothing but lust over the iPhone. After using my iPhone(even on the slower Edge network) they prefer using it over using the pathetic browser at 3G speeds on their Crapberry phones. Why do you think Safari is the #1 used browser on handhelds? Because you can actually USE it.

Bottom line is Apple does everything better. and Steve Jobs is a God.

Oh, I agree that blackberrys are bloatwared to death pieces of crap. Which is why I have a Nokia N95 8GB which can use the same WCDMA and EGSM networks (I can even use your EDGE network) your trendy little iStatussymbol does and more. Oh, and if I get board with it I can take it to the Verizon shop and trade it in for a newer, more capable phone as soon as Nokia makes them (which is fairly often). And even better, I'm not stuck with AT&T for service. If I decide Verzion doesn't suit my needs I can switch to any other carrier I want to including AT&T (never happen, but I can do it if I want).

Big deal, I can run Opera on mine, which is more secure then Safari will ever be and isn't a bloated piece of software.

Apple/Mac doesn't do anything that a PC can't do better. I mean, it took Mac how long to figure out that IBM/Motorola processors suck and switch over to Intel? Oh, and here's the fun, when Intel releases newer processors I don't have to buy a new machine, I just buy the new processor and install it into my box or at worst have to upgrade my mobo. Mac's and Apple products in general are for trendy morons that are more concerned that their toy looks pretty then about it actually working or having the most capability it can. The only product Apple has gotten right yet is the iPod and even that managed to get hosed up with Apples idiotic DRM policies and useless bloatware like Quicktime and iTunes.

But yeah, go ahead and sing the praises of St. Steve, Fanboy. I'll stick to being able to use my PC and my Phone for useful things.

I purchase Apple products because time is money. I spend more on these products to save me time and frustration.

I don't understand how folks enjoy playing and futzing with their mutt box windows machines, patching, rebooting, virus scanning, reinstalling, rebooting, repairing, updating, etc.. I enjoy simply using my computers. I turn them on, use them for their intended purpose and turn them off. Simple.

By using Apple products, I save more time than if I used other cheaper products. I waste zero time with problems so common to Windows. My iPhone does everything as if it were a mere extension of my mental processes.

Yes Apple products cost more, just like the finer things in life. If you can afford them, why not?

Because I demand high performance from my machine, which is something that Apple Mac has never been able to provide. When Mac releases a system that can handle dual GeForce 9800GX2, 8GB of DDR3, and an Intel QX9770 overclocked to 4ghz that's able to play the latest FPS games at maximum visual setting, I'll consider buying one. That futzing with a "muttbox" means that when the bleeding edge of PC technology moves, I can move with it and I don't have to buy an entirely new computer to do it. When game manufacturers push their products fathers I can keep up, and even better, I don't have to wait months or even years before someone gets around to making a version that's compatible with my OS.

If all you're doing is checking your email and putzing around on the internet, then Mac's perfect you. If you actually need to do anything requiring some actual computing muscle then you need a PC (or you just go talk to Sun Microsystems about one of their monsters). Macs are computers for people either to lazy, to inept, or simply not interested enough to actually need a high power system.

Wait a second... First you say time is money and go about how much your Mac saves you and then you say Mac are more expensive? Care to back that up? Because I typing this from a Alienware Area 51ALX and I can guarantee you that it's both more powerful then anything Mac makes and probably costs as much or more than their flagship system fully loaded.

What problem? I've been running Vista for quite sometime now and I've not had any issues at all. In fact, Vista is probably the most stable OS Microsoft has released since Windows New Testament 5.

Yeah, go compare the price of the 3G iPhone to the Nokia N95 8GB and then come and tell me which is more expensive.

Here's Mac's flagship desktop system. And here's mine. Just base model vs base model, my system is twice the cost, but also three times the capability. The only areas that the Mac Pro can exceeded my system in is it can have it's memory expanded out to 32GB (to bad you losers are still stuck with DDR2...worse, you're going to have to spend almost 10k to do it, for that much I could build a better system then a fully loaded Mac Pro), and it can mount to processors (To bad you losers are stuck with Xeons... I'll have the new Nahelem chip in my system in another three months). Can the Mac Pro play game? Not really... You can expand the hard drive space out to 4TB... I can do that and then expand it out to 16TB just by adding a card to one of the many spare ati slots I've got...

So you were saying something about Macs being worth anything to a serious user?
