You be nice, Gaz. Nehor just hasn't found his Queen to be yet... :-)

Though it is hard relating to people one's age sometimes when your interests aren't in "the norm". None of my friends give a damn about Tudor History, and they think I'm weird when I wear my 50s garb...oh well. They still tolerate me from time to time which is nice.

Last night I had a dream I was in this mall, but half the shops were closed because the vendors weren't there. All you could do was look, and it was kind of like an unwritten rule that you didn't take from these stores, because everything was out in the open. As I was trying to make my way out of this place (like I try to make my way out of DC when I'm driving through), I saw stores with some of the most beautiful antiques, one with diamond rings. I never took one...but I looked at them and wished that the vendors were there so I could buy one.

I got to the main court, and there was this thing that was like a slide, and you had two ways to go on it. You could take the short route that was only a few minutes, or you could take the crazy route that had a loop the loop, and a whole bunch of people were on that thing, sitting like they were on a roller-coaster, all bunched up. I didn't want to go, as I hate roller coasters.

All of a sudden it was imperative for us to leave, perhaps the place was closing. I was with a huge group, I guess they were family but they weren't anyone I recognized. I followed them through the route they'd chosen to leave, and we got to this corridor where you had to pass through this challenge. It was this room that was filled with this thick, clear substance (I think this is my hatred of the ultrasound goop), and you couldn't breathe, but the only way out was through there. I lagged behind and got left. It was me and one other lady. We were trying to psych ourselves up to go through, when the scene in that room changed. It was all Phantom of the Opera-like. And inside were these two men who were hurling things at us, which, if they touched us, we'd die. The other woman did, and I woke up.

Damn percocet. Side effects: weird dreams.

Then I went back to sleep and dreamed I was in a foreign country with Homer Simpson and a few other people. We were trying to get home. Homer led us to a friend's house, and he gave us a boat to sail home with. We made it as far as France (I think originally we were in Asia...WTF?), and I only knew it was France because when we landed, the person kept talking about Napoleon's rule.

Then it was time to go to work. Fridays...joy.

Nah, I have much scarier things in my life to scare them off. ;)

Yeah, but I picked up that habit after I was already married. :-)

And just how bitter does she get when you pull out your boxes to build your sweet new deck? Does she make you immediately wash your clothes when you come home smelling like a card shop? Those overweight unwashed single guys can become quite pungent. Theres always at least two of those guys, mixed in with the pale skinny white guys, stinking up the whole place.

She doesn't get bitter at all if I'm building decks or arranging cards at home. She gets concerned about the money I spend on the more-than-once-weekly tournaments. They don't cost much, but it adds up.

Fortunately, the Magic crowd has far, far better hygiene than that, by-and-large. You're most likely referring to the miniatures- and D&D crowds.
