Wait a second. . . are you implying that vibratto is involuntary?

Ambeon - Cold Metal, not an actual video, but a good song of therirs. Ambeon is chilled symphonic dancy metally stuff with female vocals. Really good for chilling out to.

Yes, vibratto is involuntary. If you are singing correctly, you will have a natural vibratto based on the airflow moving from your diaphram and the space you are creating for the vocal chords to produce sound.
My vibratto is naturally on the slower side, so I have to consciously speed it up so that my tones sound even, and not flat or sharp. Everyone's vibratto is different. The trick is in being able to control it, and control it correctly, without putting improper pressure on the chords.
As usual, very nice Liz :)
...probably said it before, but I think you're very good at getting expression into your voice... You sound like you 'believe' what you're singing...
The odd pitching issue, but barely noticeable really. Overall, very good.
The recording wasn't really that bad - I didn't think. I guess it was a couple of mics in a cultural-hall type room? Maybe even one if you were close to the piano. Kinda sounds like it. It's not like it was meant to be a studio recording...

Huh, how 'bout that. I have never, ever had a vibratto, so I always figured people were doing it on purpose.

The reason you don't have a vibratto is because you are not singing with your full breath capacity. If I worked with you, we would find it. ;)
Gaz, the new singer for Nightwish is ok, but she doesn't have anywhere near the vocal ability or musicianship of Tarja. It's like when Van Halen replaced Sammy with that douche from Mr. Big. Yeah, the rest of the band was still there, but it sounded like crap.
