Think about the soft lighting effect from even one inexpensive string of tiny white Christmas lights. So beautiful! Make your surroundings as pleasant as you possibly can. There will be days and series of days when life doesn't seem so pleasant as a new mother. Head it off at the pass by making even a corner area for you and baby as pleasant, relaxing and uplifting as you can manage. I have a disco ball ornament in my own classroom and even I get excited at 8 am when the lights start swirling around the room!
Steve's daughters were monkeys when they were little, they crawled out of the crib to come get in bed with their parents. :-) Will that be my munchkin someday?
Eventually everyone crawls out of their crib. It's how we get to work.
