I think that this extremely significant thread needs and update.
As I last reported, I was perfecting the French Manicure using the tip guides from Orly.
Based on that experience, here is my best advice regarding the tip guides from Orly:
Throw them out and learn to do the tips freehand!
The tip guides aren't terrible, but I had to do touch up on several nails. After my experience with the tip guides, I got it perfect the
first time out painting free hand and then went on to do the most wonderful French Pedicure however, I'm still not certain that I like the look on toes.
My nails look ALOT like the nails in the OP video only my nails are a tiny bit longer.
So, here's the "Passed with Flying Colors" list:
Orly Rubberized Base Coat
Orly Beverly Hills Manicure (this is the tint you use for the American Manicure- just use one coat)
Essie Marshmallow (For freehand painting the tips of both French and American- at least two coats)
Seche Vite Top Coat (if you get nothing else from this list....get this!)
Essie Mademoiselle (although I didn't use this for the French Manicure, based on using the Essie product above, I'd buy it)
