Off for Some Fun
Well, it's that time of year. Tomorrow I leave to go spend a week on a houseboat and spend my time, eating, sleeping, reading, wakeboarding, swimming, and playing poker with my cousins. If I do not respond to your ingenious accusations and smears regarding the doctrines I love it is because I am having too much fun to care.
Now, to ponder the eternal questions....to pack the chess set or more books? speedo or no speedo? Pack Brandon Sanderson or Robert Jordan? Rise and Fall of the Third Reich or the Zombie Survival Guide?

I will answer all your questions:
More books
Speedo (I'm not there, so you may as well torture the locals)
Robert Jordan
Zombie Survival Guide (that is HI-larious)
Have fun - and use sunscreen.
I may be going to hell in a bucket, babe / But at least I'm enjoying the ride.

For the love of Pete, no speedo!!!
And do enjoy your time with your cousins. I have no doubt it is time much better spent than your time here.

If you decide on Robert Jordan, I recommend bringing two or three of the books to improve the chance that you'll encounter one of the rare instances of the plot actually advancing :)

For those who may live in fear, I don't actually own a speedo and have no plans to purchase one in the near future.
I think the plot advances in all of Jordan's books. But then I'm easily satisfied.

I'm mostly kidding, they're really not bad. Robert Jordan's books, that is - speedos definitely are bad. I do think the books generally spend too much time on conversations between minor and uninteresting characters, but nearly every one does have some significant and satisfying events. I still think Crossroads of Twilight was a huge waste of my life, though - that one could have been abridged into a 20 page pamphlet without losing anything.

I just pine for the last book, partly because I enjoy them but mostly because they've said it will finally reveal who killed Asmodean.

I sorrow to report that the Nehor was swallowed by a large carnivorous carp while wakesurfing which mercifully released him from years of painful mental illness.

But luckily for you you had a pack of Mentos and a Coke, and with a sparkling smile and a wink, you caused the carp to projectile vomit you back into our waiting arms !
