Anyone Seeing Batman Tonight?

Post by _TrashcanMan79 »

There's a midnight showing here tonight, but I'd be looking at a mere 3 hours of sleep if I decide to go, and I have work tomorrow. But I Fandangoed a ticket for tomorrow night. Anyone seeing it tonight? If so, come back and tell us how awesome it is so that my anticipation levels can reach max power.

No spoilers, though, or so help me God....

Very excited about this. I talked to a guy who got an advanced copy and he said that the rumors of Heath ledger deserving a pothumous Oscar are well founded. I have heard nothing but good things about this movie, which is nice since WB's Superman outing was such a fiasco.

I plan to take the kids on Saturday.

For anyone with itunes, Batman: The Animated Series Season 3 is now available. If you want to see what the REAL Ras Al Ghul is like as opposed to the one shown in "Batman Begins' he is featured in 4 different episodes.

I saw it this morning at 10:45 am, Pacific.

I thought it was great, and I don't even know much about Batman (I haven't seen the other movie and never read the comics).
That's General Leo. He could be my friend if he weren't my enemy.

Somethin. I'm actually not quite sure who pulled the strings, but in any case me and several acquantances got to go. I decided to simply take advantage of the opportunity rather than ask detailed questions about how it was pulled off.

Let me again state that I'm happy I went, and I will gladly watch it again since my brothers are planning Old Testament take their families to watch it too. I might also end up having to babysit so that nobody else has to miss it. Definately not for two-year olds.

Maybe I'm being too vague, but I'm trying not to spoil it. Plenty of humor at the right times, but it was not a comedy or too light. Penty of action, interesting effects, interesting situations, and plenty to think about.

And I don't know beans about Batman.

Ahhh...I love that I can go to the movies on Sunday. The theaters are so empty.

My two oldest went to see it at the midnight showing--they are absolutely gushing over the movie.

Their words: "Heath Ledger was amazing--I don't know what they will do if they try to cast the joker again--no one can top his performance". "The Story was excellent---they almost combined way too many story lines and it could have been confusing, but they managed to keep it straight and make them work". "The action sequences did not drag on and Aaron Eckhart did a really great job too". "Gary Oldman was great---he had some really intense scenes, and Christian Bale IS "Batman"". "It was funny--it was able to move from deeply disturbing to hilarious--part of it was the "joker"--he is fantastic." Sounds like Heath Ledger deserves the oscar.

My daughter says it's not for children though(this coming from a girl who said "Hellboy 2 and Ironman were fine for kids)--She said it's too disturbing, too violent, The Joker is too freaky...She gave the movie five stars!
