The Nehor wrote:Accept that the revelations meant what they said and the Saints were driven from place to place as punishment for their own sins and not for the mob's transgressions.
What exactly were the Saints' sins that caused them to be driven from place to place?
And are we to suppose that the Saints haven't committed those sins for the past 150 years?
I don’t think it’s any one sin, or sins, that the saints committed, or omitted, that forced them towards the West. I might be wrong, but I feel that like in the Old Testament, the Hebrews were presented the higher law of God, they rejected it, so God gave them the lower law, commonly called the ‘Law of Moses’. Here is a site with all 613 commandments: http://www.aish.com/SSI/articleToPrint. ... ou+name%3F What the early saints were expected to follow was the law of consecration http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_Consecration I feel, like what some earlier prophets have said, that most people were too greedy to be able to live it. Remember that Joseph Smith was not allowed to have the gold plates for this reason. I personally think that we are too hard on them; can we live in this system?

We probably have which is why Zion is still just a dream.

I don't know but I think I've guessed a few. It's not really that important. Joseph knew he had them though and mentioned this many times.
