Re: Senator Biden is not intelligent. And Mormonism.
I think the worst was his absolute ignorance onwhat it was his running mate was campaigning on.
He told the media that they would not be supporting clean coal technology. He said it three times very adamantly.
Obama's ads continue to say he will push for clean coal.
But the goof about televisions during the depression was especially stupid. Most of the rest are just silly mistakes I think.
He's allowed those. Palin isn't.

The one where Biden tells the guy in the wheelchair to stand up is quite funny:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRV5Y1JCGRI
His numberous gaffes and mistatements do not raise serious questions because unlike Palin, he's proven himself in the Senate for over 35 years. The on-camera errors make him into an interesting character, in my opinion, and that's about it.
In contrast, the plagarism episodes definitely bother me. Read about them here.
Sigh.... Given the chance, would he be a crook like Nixon or Cheney? I hope not.

Biden's exit from the 1988 race is worth recalling in detail, because his transgressions far exceeded Obama's own relatively innocent lifting of rhetorical set pieces from his friend Deval Patrick, which occasioned a brief flap last February. Biden's misdeeds encompassed numerous self-aggrandizing thefts, misstatements, and exaggerations that seemed to point to a serious character defect.
Sigh.... Given the chance, would he be a crook like Nixon or Cheney? I hope not.

Re: Senator Biden is not intelligent. And Mormonism.
- Biden said he didn't know Palin’s stand on the issues:
Biden on Meet the Press: “I have no idea what her policies [are]. I assume they’re the same as John’s. I just don’t know.”
A little bit later:
On Meet the Press: “She is diametrically opposed to everything Hillary stands for.”
What?????
- Biden forgot his age at an early campaign event, when he said he was 12 years older than politician Bobby Casey. And we're worried about Senator McCain's age?

Are you sure that he didn't do that on purpose?

That's a funny thing to say since his running mate is, well, you know.

Yep. He chalked it up to a Freudian slip.

Oh, boy.
- Democrat Senator McCaskill said Biden said, he 'has a tendency to talk forever and sometimes say things that are kind of stupid.'"

Oh, man. This guy doesn't stop!
Biden Called Himself A "Hard-Coal Miner" And Said It Was "Nice To Be Back In Coal Country." AFTER HE CAME OUT AGAINST COAL!!
"'I hope you won't hold it against me, but I am a hard-coal miner, anthracite coal, Scranton, Pa.,' Biden said. 'It's nice to be back in coal country. ... It's a different accent [in Southwest Virginia] ... but it's the same deal. We were taught that our faith and our family was the only really important thing, and our faith and our family informed everything we did.'" (Debra McCown, "Biden: 'It's Nice To Be Back In Coal Country'," Bristol [VA] Herald Courier, 9/21/08)
So, he's a liar, and not very intelligent. Oh my GOD.
edit: LIAR ALERT!
Biden's Grandfather Is The "Only Biden On Record As Having Worked Near A Mine" As A Mining Engineer.
"Biden grew up in a white-collar suburb, his father was a car salesman, one grandfather was a state senator, and the only Biden on record as having worked near a mine was a mining engineer." (Jodie T. Allen, "This Is (Not Quite) Your Life," Slate Magazine, 11/20/97)

If this were Sarah Palin doing this she would be straight up crucified by the press and her own party.

He's only proven that is is a product of the Washington environment, which makes him a liability, not an asset, to a reformed American government. Palin has proven herself as well.
But they don't show how ignorant he is on basic historical matters that we learned about in middle-school, such as the great depression. No, only Palin is required to pass these off the cuff pop quizes forwarded by these ever so objective journalists.
Any party that wants more government has already figured out the system and knows where the money is. More government means more lobbyists which means more money into their pocskets. It is a revolving door where they dump money into these GSEs and worthless bureaucracies, and they return the favor by giving them money back through lobbyists. Biden and Obama are experts at that game. It has to be reformed if we expect anything to really change. Only McCain and Palin have a chance at this. Government spending freeze? Hell yeah! Zero earmarking? Hell Yeah! Reorganize and downsize the dozens of needless money pit agencies funded by the government? Hell yeah!
Obama's idea of cutting spending is taxing the corporations, which he prefers to refer to as "the rich," further guaranteeing their one way ticket to other locations in the world, and continued decrease in jobs. But don't worry. He'llincrease jobs by dumping money into the creation of dozens of other government do-nothing agencies.
The thing about thsi bailout is that it has completely thrown a wrench into the economic plan Obama has been campaigning on. He has already admitted that it will not be as he said, and that he will be forced to do away with much of the stuff he was bragging about. By contrast, it doesn't seem to have effected McCain's plan at all because his plan wasn't a "spend spend spend" plan to begin with!
