Obama Campaign is 3 for 3

Post by _Some Schmo »

Tonight's debate was easily the biggest slam dunk for Obama yet. He not only said what his plans were for things like the economy, health care, and foreign policy, but also specified how he was going to accomplish his plans (something McCain fails to do time after time, mostly because he's too busy talking about his record and making claims to try to discredit Obama to get to specifics of his plans).

I thought one of the defining moments of the night (and his campaign overall) was when McCain referred to Obama as "that one." Holy crap. I LOLed when he said that. The guy looks like he's trying his hardest to lose.

On a night he had to win, McCain had his worst performance yet. If he does this badly next Wednesday, I'll have to write him a thank you letter for conceding the election.

Three for three according to whom? The village idiot?

This is to be expected, because Obama fools the idiots like you with lies and deception, as I noted in the other thread. McCain has finesse and facts on his side, Obama has an appeal to the minority and uneducated.

Leave it to the desperate to find something like this to complain about.

"That one"?

Yea, what a racist huh? I mean he couldn't have been speaking so quickly as to forget how he phrased the question to begin with (i.e. "Which Senator voted for it? That one.")

Give it up. You guys and your BS psychoanalyses, all the while giving Obama and Biden a pass for every idiotic thing they say incorrectly. Trevor was right that McCain won the first debate, and he won this one as well on substance. Experience wins again. Obama is green and immature and he looks completely out of place up there. He's not in McCain's league. He thinks rhetoric will work in place of experience, and the sad thing is he's right. Too many idiots in this country buy into it. Nevermind he is lying and couldn't represent the truth if his life depended on it. He knows how to trick the general public, and you're helping him make a mockery of the American people, who will elect him based on his race.

I predicted this a year ago when everyone was sure Hillary would win it. I knew America wouldn't pass up the chance to put a black man in the White House. What a glorious thing to even think about, and everyone wants in on the bandwagon. They're already talking about how they'll be telling their grandkids how they weren't racist back in 2008, because they voted for the first black president.

I mean what a statement about how far we've come right? From dumb to dumber.

Oh, you think they've gone three for three as well? Interesting.

Don't demean village idiots. They have a vital role to play. Note this documentary that shows the vital psychosocial service they provide:

CNN had Obama winning in their polls. However, I suspect that Fox News, with their fair and balanced methods, had McCain winning by 105%.

Even the Fox News pundits overwhelmingly agree that Obama won. Here is what the pundits at Fox news had to say.

“Senator Obama won, but there is still hope for the McCain campaign.” Christopher Coffey, Republican Political Consultant

“This is the last of the debates that any significant number of people is going to watch… my friends.” - James P. Pinkerton Writer and Columnist, The American Conservative magazine/FOX News Political Contributor

“Neither guy ‘won’ and so neither did the public.” Cal Thomas, Syndicated Columnist/FOX News Political Contributor

“McCain won some rounds but the bout goes to Obama.” Andrea Tantaros, Republican Political Commentator

“Advantage Obama.” John Avlon, Author, “Independent Nation”

“Bottom line: This is 1960s all over again. Radio listeners probably thought the debate was pretty even. TV watchers will say Senator Obama “won” — because he looked and sounded younger, fresher, and therefore, more like the “change” candidate. The data among undecided focus groups who watched TV are likely to favor Obama.” Lanny Davis, Former White House Special Counsel/FOX News Political Contributor

“Obama clearly won this debate.” Bob Beckel, Democratic Campaign Strategist/FOX News Political Contributor

“To use military analogies, McCain won some skirmishes but failed to break through and beyond his opponent’s defenses. He needed a stunning flank attack–like acknowledging the bailout’s burden, renouncing his tax and spending plans and thus leveling with the American people. It didn’t happen and was thus a draw–advantage, Obama.” Richard Miller, Author, “In Words and Deeds: Battle Speeches in History”

“Senator Obama’s answers to the questions were thoughtful and reasoned while Senator McCain looked as if he was determined to get out his talking points. Bottom line for the undecided voter: The guy that you know and trust vs. the guy who has real new ideas and seems quite connected to the voter.” Ellen Ratner, Bureau Chief Talk Radio News Service/FOX News Political Contributor

“It was up to John McCain to “change the game” somehow. And I didn’t hear it.” Mort Kondracke, Executive Editor, Roll Call/FOX News Political Contributor

And, McCain won the first debate. Hands down.

Senator John McCain did indeed win the first debate.

Barack Obama is Not three for three on the debates.

Sure man. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

His first one wasn't as clear a win as last night's was, but he still edged McCain out. The polls back that up.

Well, considering Obama has only participated in two (and won both of them), that's not surprising. Biden won the other of the three.

Of course, this is only two decades old; I'm sure with effort one could find something from when McCain was eight. ;-)
