Well, at least the common man's Senator, the guy who eats at "Katies" restaurant and "hangs out" at Home Depot knows enough about baseball to give the right name of the team of the city he's visiting? I mean, this guy is smart, right?

Obama's running mate, Joe Biden, got an early start Wednesday. He was at a morning rally in Tampa, where the Major League Baseball playoffs are all the rage. Biden said Obama wished he was in Florida, too.

"But after what your Devil Rays did to the Chicago White Sox, he just couldn't do it," Biden said. "The man is hurting."

While not a big deal, it shows, yet again, that Senator Biden is one loopy bastard, and frankly the idea of him possibly occupying the White House scares the crap out of me. The dude is a freakin' idiot.

Well, at least Senator Biden knows the difference between a man and a woman, right? From a report in Missouri:

During all the hysteria about Sarah Palin and whether or not she is fit to be vice president, has anyone noticed that Joe Biden is a persistent, unreformed, downright clownish bungler whose gaffes are simply too many and too wild to be considered perfectly excusable slips of the tongue?

True, he's a likable guy who projects sincerity and any number of other impressive attributes, and maybe that's why his barrage of mistakes draws no great press criticism. Some commentators have gone after him, of course, but mostly we get buried stories with small-type headlines and opinion pieces on how his gush of talk can get ahead of an astute brain. We mostly get winks when we ought to get astonishment.

Umm, look. "Job" is the root word and it is a three letter word. If this tiny little gaffe is proof of idiocy, while academic achievement is ignored as meaningless then we are all in trouble. If this is the way to judge intelligence then Bush would belong in an inititution for the mentally handicapped.

It is a much bigger gaffe to suggest that some states are pro-American while others are not.

She admires the superstitious witch hunter Rev. Muthee. That should tell you something.

And, read the transcripts of her interviews. Some of those sentences don't even parse.

You can say I am just guessing the outcome or assuming the outcome. Ok, but I would bet my whole life savings on the outcome. I am confident Biden would get the higher score by far. How could it be otheriwse, he has had years of experience and an extensive education.
