This is the second one now. Fortunately, both these involved hilariously incompetent people. I don't think we have any idea how many credible threats towards Obama are out there.

Probably none. The sheer volume of security around him just as a Presidential Candidate is more then most heads of state ever have, let alone the amount he'd have as President, which on top of the Secret Service detail also gets company of Marines with a full battalion on stand-by (there's also a couple divisions worth of Army and marines inside of an hours drive of the capitol, along with a USAF airwing at Langley and a good sized chunk of the Atlantic Fleet nearby). Yeah, once you become president these days, it'd take something on the order of a large scale invasion to have a chance at getting near you.
