I am utterly outraged that Obama would dare insult Nancy Reagan. Obviously, the man has no decency. He should resign the presidency forthwith and turn it over to Joe Biden, who will certainly gaffe in an equally tasteless fashion, forcing him to resign too. Democrats lack all humanity. It is no wonder that they believe in stealing from the rich to give food stamps to lazy lay-abouts. There is not a shred of moral fiber in the entire lot of them.

Who will take a cheap shot at Obama for believing that a man walked on water and rose from the dead?

Does he take it to be true literally or only as a metaphor for some sort of trancendance? Who knows?

Obama's religious faith is about moral values, community, connection, and hope--not about passionately embracing dogma that is scientifically untenable.

While Nancy Reagan did stand “by her husband,” she did so with every amenity which could be afforded her by doctors and nurses. Obama was in no way commenting on this “stood by her husband.” He was commenting on the consultation of her consultation of astrologists. While he owed NO apology, he offered one in deference to her as the aging, past First Lady which she is. His comment was spontaneous and at his first news conference as president elect.

Compared with the weighty issues facing him as the next president, this is trivia of the irrelevant.

The real "fixers" on the modern political scene are the pro-Democratic "shadow party" that arose to circumvent McCain Feingold and funnel massive quantities of soft money from numerous sources to leftist (Democratic) candidates.

But who knows, the real player here may be ACORN and similar groups, powers that be the the Republicans just do not have (and hopefully, would never use if they did).
