If God has called these men to guide us, then I would think it makes logical sense to heed their words as God's words.

I was thinking more along the lines of the return of polygamy, the law of consecration, the fall of Numenor, or a call to phsically gather.

It's also possible that God will just kill them all somehow. I hope not though. I don't want to have to clean up the bodies.
