Conscience is a science that is a con. Kinda like a fake science designed to confuse people.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conscience

I always thought of conscience as a place within an individual that stores memory and feelings, he non physical part. If they asked me in Church what the Holy Ghost is, I'd say it is one's conscience. I don't really believe this, I would be more inclined to believe it to be a part of our conscience that links us to God, whatever God may be. Or the part that links us to a certain aspect of faith and belief within our belief systems. Perhaps this link being the ability to feel the presence of spiritualisation. I believe our conscious makes us who we are in terms of personality and reason. I believe it resides in our mind, or maybe a force of some kind within and/or around our mind. Or vice versa. I would want to say our mind in our brain, but maybe we just hear our thoughts where we are used to hearing noise and assume this is where our mind is located. Maybe our mind is where we visualise it to be. So, if we lucid dream and visit Mars, then our mind and conscience may have left our body and visited Mars.

Oh and by the way, you'd probably get more responce if you started again and made your point clearer and with less text, also perhaps quoting and commenting on parts within the links you provided and where your thoughts came from.

I often write notes down of thoughts or question I have had that have been inspired by someone else's words along with what inspired them.

Oh, your question was where does conscience come from...

God of course lol. J/K

That's kinda like asking where Quarks come from in my opinion.

Maybe Quarks come from our conscience lol. Or, our conscience comes from Quarks. Ugh, I forgot what I was saying, my family are in the room and they started discussing religion, brainwashing and what the best religion to get married in is.

Thanks for the reference, Ezias.

As I evaluate how I've perceived things over my lifetime I can appreciate what McCue is saying.

As a Mormon, I was always told what my conscience should convey to me. I don't know whether or not we are born with a moral compass. Whatever it is though, I think it can be manipulated. If it's messed with enough (well intentioned or otherwise), we can begin to perceive its enticings with less certainty.

Part of my exit involves sifting through what truly brings me peace (a clear conscience) and everything else that really has nothing to do with it.

It might be defined a majoring in minor things:

38 ¶ Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

(New Testament | Luke 10:38 - 42)

If our minds are not in our heads, does that mean they are on Kolob and not in our bodies at all? Jenn Kamp.

by the way, I am somewhat confused by your statement. Are you referring to conscience or consciousness?

Your conscioussness is how awake you are lol or how awake your conscience is lol. I was talking about conscience. Just that I suck at explaining my thoughts BAH.
