Just so everyone knows this wasn't symbolic in anyway...
I wasn't waging war on this website. PP writing that he had "history" with me is what made me boil over. Sorry. I kept a lot bottled up... others assigned to me someone I'm not.
I had no intention of hurting anyone. Sorry if I did. I forgive those that hurt me.
I hope KA is well.

Re: My Last Story
The black wall of names called the Vietnam Memorial is one of the most moving pieces of architecture on earth. I have no connection to any name on that wall, yet when I walked slowly by it, I was completely overcome and in tears. I had to leave my friends and go sit on a bench not far away. The weight of all those deaths was just unbearable.
For your father, who had known those men, it must have been more than unbearable. I don't even know a word to describe it.
My son goes to war next month. I do not know how I'm going to bear it.

(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Re: My Last Story
My mother's fiancee died in Vietnam. His name was Jimmy Campbell. Mom still loves him, all these years later. She almost never mentions him, but when she does, my dad seems alright with it. Mom has a small jewelry box on her dresser, and as kids my sisters and I were allowed to play with everything in it, with the exception of Jimmy's class ring, which was still on the chain my mother used to wear around her neck. I found his name on the Vietnam Wall when I went there a couple of years ago.
My dad was a Marine who served in Vietnam. He has a Purple Heart. He fell into a pungi (sp?) pit and severely injured his leg. He spent months in a military hospital in Danang.
Both of my grandfathers were Marines and fought in WWII. I come from a long line of military men.
Your father sounds like a brave man of conscience, Moniker. You are rightfully proud of him.
Harmony, I hope and pray the best for your son. I'd tell you not to worry, but as a mother I know those are empty words. I feel a bit of worry when my kids take off down the sidewalk on their bicycles. Still, I hope you are able to find peace.
I hope Moniker is well.
