Amen to that. My kids have been watching the prequels a lot lately and it makes me cringe to listen in on them.

I still haven't unpacked Eps 1-3 from our move 1.5 years ago; our house is a prequel-free zone. Our 4-year old is hooked on Star Wars now, and continually reminds me that there are three she "needs" to see (her older sister has lots of Padme action figures and costumes).

I just tell her they are too scary and boring, and she'll have to wait. (Until she's 18, or I die, whichever comes first.) If I'm ever tempted to just let her watch Episode 3, I go to this site until the feeling goes away.

(Sorry KA, didn't mean to hijack your thread. Yeah "Iron and Wine"! Hollah!)

Seven and Cinepro,

Were pardon necessary for making off-topic comments on my thread in the off-topic forum, I would grant such pardon without hesitation, but it's not necessary, so I won't. :)

I am anxious to watch Garden State! I think I'll look for it tomorrow. I'll need a good movie to clear my head after spending the afternoon with Annie, Chloe, and friends watching Hotel For Dogs.

Now, it's back to googling "naked mannequins." Damn you, Cinepro!

Great picks, Seven. I really like Remy Zero and am sad that they broke up. There's this band that kind of sounds like them that I'm really into at the moment called The Boxer Rebellion. If you go on iTunes, their song Evacuate off of their new album Union is the free single of the week (until tomorrow, I think). Check it out. It's good stuff.

That's a cool song. Thanks for the tip Silentkid! :) I'm also going to check out your top picks for 2008.

Here's another song by Iron and Wine that I like a lot.

My Lady's House

There is light in my lady’s house.
And there’s none but some falling rain.
This like a spoken word,
She is more than her thousand names.

No hands are half as gentle
Or firm as they like to be.
Thank God you see me the way you do,
Strange as you are to me.

It is good in my lady's house.
Every shape that her body makes.
Love is a fragile word,
In the air on the length we lay.

No hands are half as gentle
Or firm as they like to be.
Thank God you see me the way you do,
Strange as you are to me.
