No, and unfortunately the Turkish store I used to go to closed down last year. There is a mediterranean restaraunt nearby though.

I love organic steel cut oatmeal with maple syrup from Canada but that slimy stuff is so disgusting!

I prefer my maple syrup on pancakes made with white flour, washed down with chocolate whole milk, followed by a Cuban cigar.

(Talk about being heathen.)

How come my parents never worried about what they ate, and both lived to 80?

I'm actually fine with other people eating meat, but it is not for me.

I envy you. Where do you get your protein?

I eat beans, salmon, legums, nuts, soy, some cheese (low fat organic), lentils, etc. etc.

Once in a while I eat a protein bar or shake as well.

At least not for breakfast!

I'm hooked on burek. Only discovered it about 12 months ago. And for TD, you can get meatless burek.

I had to go look online to see what they are and they look great! I'm thinking the ones with cheese would be delicious!

OK, I'm in!

I find that cheese does give you that "full" feeling, but not low fat organic. I need something that really "grips" my stomach, and none of the low-fat foods seem to do it. I like to go away feeling like I've actually eaten something. I dunno, there's probably no hope for me.

Well, actually if you eat the right kinds of fat then you will feel full and be healthy! :-) I use olive (and other healthy) oil, eat avocados and nuts, and can generally feel satisfied. I just don't want to get all the dairy fat into my body. I mean we really need fat but just need to make sure we are eating the right kind!

Love, love, love avocado. We had two avacado trees in our yard, and we picked them off just before lunch. These days I like it on fat-free biscuits. We also had mango trees, breadfruit, guavas, and freshly laid chicken eggs (though you'd probably avoid that), and also ducks in the backyard (see, I grew up on meat). Also lime trees and something you may or may not know - sapodilla.

I really don't understand the mayo hate. It's way more common than I ever would have suspected. I think mayo is AWESOME. I mean, it's at the base of many great sauces, including most cream salad dressings, and nothing beats a cake made with mayo instead of eggs.

I'll tell ya what's gross... organs. Liver, kidney, whatever... How anyone can bring themselves to eat that stuff is beyond me. It's bitter, dry, and disgusting. Why on earth would anyone want to eat something that filters urine, for instance? Just don't get it.

*shudder*
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
