They might agree on more. I don't think Obama is a closet Communist though or intent on preventing the loss of his power over this nation through non-democratic means.

The aid was billions of dollars of economic aid and making sure that they had access to military hardware (usually indirectly). I personally disapprove of wars waged to maintain the balance of power. Too much like Stalinist realpolitik for me.

Of course the bottom line remains that the US is calling this a military coup when the military does not run Honduras. It simply acted under the constitutional demand of the Supreme court and Congress to remove the president for trying to set himself up as president for life Chavez style.

This business about other countries falling to coups because of Honduras is hogwash. Obama is certainly dealing under the table with Chavez and General Assembly President and Lenin Peace Prize recipient Miguel D’Escoto.
