There ya go ... a new one to me "oracle cards" and "ruins"?

A quick look at Oracle cards from a web search:

"The accompanying guide introduces the novice to Sacred Geometry or the “Language of Light.”
Using Sacred Geometry in your life encourages and supports all individuals to become aware of their own unique relation to the world, and universe. Working with the cards guides in the understanding of how one’s thoughts, feelings, and actions influence not only the close and immediate world around them but the entire larger, endless universe as well.

Utilizing Sacred Geometry through Hart’s cards with the 6 explained oracle card readings (spreads), and thoughtful practice will enable anyone who desires to become more balanced in their bodies, minds, spirits, and their connection to the larger universe."

I sensationalized the "eye twinking" which was likely a part of the meditation utilized for that practice.

But yes, what you are suggesting here is exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about. A supplement, as it were, to your religion.

Do you charge for your readings ? They do around here.

I don't do readings. I let my friends and family "play" with them as it were. So no I don't charge and if I actually believed it had any more mysterious form other than revealing our sub conscious, I still wouldn't charge. It is a wrong thing to do because you are charging people to show them what they already know and it is a con.

The term "Sacred Geometry" caught my eye in the one site I looked at. Is this term consistent in the system you use also?

Reason I ask is I have seen a bit on Sacred Geometry, but it dealt with the concept of Phi (i.e. Fibronacci sequence ratio).

Sacred geometry as far as I can understand can only be related in terms of using patterns and such things as a template for understanding such things as the stars in astrology, symbols etc. Some people use sacred geometry to discover secrets in Art and architecture. I am not sure about the accuracy in finding secrets in art using geometry. The only way I see this working is by unconscious means. We unconsciously put symbols and unknown truths into our work and these can be picked out using various techniques. Quite often what is depicted is that which the geometrist wishes to discover which quite often only makes sense to themselves. It is possible to make our own oracle cards and ruins. To do this we learn our selves and create a symbolic structure of what things mean to us. Quite often what something means to me, it will also mean to someone else. Like if I have a symptom of say feeling like I could have done better in the past year and applying a symbol or picture to it, then tell someone else what that picture or symbol means, if they pic that picture or symbol out, that feeling will apply to them, but really it is so vague that that feeling can probably apply to most people.

I believe that we do send unconscious messages that we are unaware of and that there are things around us that often we don't notice.

I haven't made oracle cards and so don't need to know the patterns involved in making them more mysterious. I just play with them and sometimes draw the pretty pictures on them. I haven't deeply studied into such things because I believe that such things can lead to dangerous things. Delving into deep stuff we don't understand can cause our thoughts and feelings to change. One would begin to believe this stuff has an affect on their lives and choices that they begin to focus on it too much. It's not good.

The word sacred is a bit of an odd word to use perhaps. I think it is a wonderful thing that people can notice these things in the world. That is very special.

Fractals and the fibonacci series are two aspects of nature that just marvel me. Isn't is beautiful? There are actually geometical objects in the 3rd dimension that are infinite.

I am not entirely sure that there is anything special about the fibonacci series other than it is a pattern recongnised that occurs often in nature, but not always. If it occured always, I'd be more inclined to claim it special.

What I am trying to say really is that, I don't see that the use of oracle cards involve the need for the knowledge of sacred geometry. Only the making of perhaps.

I do believe that there is more mystery and answers to the deeper questions in sacred geometry than in man made practices designed to con people.

Sometimes however, we may think we have discovered a pattern or a geometric series that produces answers in everyday manmade objects and really it is a pattern we have made up to help us understand something, but unless it can be applied to all objects of that nature and not just objects created by one person, then it can hardly be a fundamental, natural (sacred) meathod of unveiling truth. (I think I am only making sense in my own head lol).

Pirate is not American. She lives in Europe, and goes to school somewhere near the UK. What part of Europe are you from again, Pirate?

Sorry...my brain is fuzzy. I just got back from a long drive...attended a Teacher's Conference in Charlotte.

I have to tease you a bit. A line from one of my favorite movies:

Ghostbusters --
Dan Akroyd as they are getting booted out of their academia haven:

"You don't know what it's like out there. I've worked in the private sector. They expect results."

LOL!!!

I had forgotten about that line! That's great!

My favorite line from Ghostbusters is, "If someone asks you if you're a God.....YOU SAY YES!!!"

Your points of reference are different from American posters. That's not a negative...just pointing it out for Rockslider, since he is a new poster here.
