My claim is that I do not have perfect knowledge, I only have faith. I do not believe you have perfect knowledge either. You only have experiences that give you faith, but you claim that those experiences give you perfect knowledge. I contest that if you looked at your own experiences critically then you would likely be as agnostic as I am. My agnosticism comes from humility and not pridefully thinking I know what reality is or I have it all figured out just because of some miracles.

What I know is consistent with the witness of what others knew and recorded in Holy Scripture. I refuse that knowledge proves a lack of humility and a huge ego.

If they could talk and express themselves would not the babies in every crib revolt against the lack of humility and ego centric adults who act like they know everything yet obviously have no clue to the bliss of innocence? But ah, come on now.

I took LSD at age fifteen, and became one with everything in the universe. I became the great I AM. I AM everything. Everything that ever was, is or will be. This state of mind in Hindu teaching is called Atman Brahman, to my knowlege. Merging with the universe, becoming one with God. This was a spiritual experience.

Do I believe this pantheistic veiw to be reality? I was high on acid, why wouldn't I dout the meaning? The problem with chemical enlightenment is that you can't take it with you when you come down. Therefore, the meaning and significance of it is lost to an extent, and you are left to integrate what you experienced with what normal everyday reality is. Spiritual experiences can have many interpretations. Just by having one does not mean I have the correct interpretation or understand it completely, especially after I have come down.

I get it. If there is not actual residual that you can keep does it not figure that it was not real. I did not think that I had actually seen the Pirates of the Caribbean after that Disney trip either.
But more pointedly I understand. If God is with you going in God is with you throughout.

I drank whiskey and beer as a teen. At one party where I drank so much I puked and passed out, I realized that deep within me was this soul that yearned to teach people about love and how to get it right. I sat down with every woman and explained to them how it was and how it worked.

I forgot what I said but some of the girls remembered and it made an impression. That was the first inkling that there was more to me than an emerging rocker. I think chemicals can only reveal you to you. If God is part of you there you go.

I did not ultimately discover and accomplish a real and true relationship with God through alcohol. It came the same as it has come to every saint written of in scripture. Christ is the way and the truth and the light. Come unto Christ and be born of him, take his name upon you with full purpose of heart in the solemnity of prayer, days of reflective repentance and striving to be forgiving and charitable, and more prayer and taking no thought for your life, while you are in the way of coming unto Christ. That is the best you can do.
