Interesting experience. It made me think about if little ol' me were to end up going to "Hell" (which I don't believe is real. At most, highly interpretive). I think it would come down to adaptability. For instance, if I'm in hell, every hellion is in for a reckoning, Thinking of all the "traits" that would be familiar in hell, if I knew I was consigned eternally to Hell, nothing would matter anyway, and I might as well adapt to my surroundings and become the "best" in all the categories! I think "Satan" wouldn't be appreciatin' that too much. . . but as a hellion, what do I care, and I would insist on being that constant "thorn" in his side! He'd better watch his back for an insurgency!

Fear (assuming that the emotion doesn't die with the body) in Hell, would not be linked to death as we percieve it now, because the realization will have to be that one is already dead, and I think just like people fear death in this life, one would eventually learn to overcome any kind of fear emotions, in the least, how can one be afraid of dying if one is already dead.

Are understanding as humans in our physical state, may be just a fraction of the whole truth.

I came across this website earlier today, and happened to find this post. I will start by saying that I can relate to you in many ways in thinking, but surprisingly in a surprisingly different situation. I was raised Christian. Yes, yes, start the hating. :P But things quickly changed when my Dad got sick with M.S. First, they weren't quite sure what was wrong with him and gave him just a few months to live. It was right at this moment in my life when I completely lost faith. Everything I knew. Everything I had been raised and grown to know suddenly became completely useless to me. My family also lost faith, and we all stopped going to church. To this day, I'm not quite sure whether that was the best outcome of the situation, but it's what happened, and theres nothing I can do about that now. Anyways, enough about my religious background. Currently, I am agnostic. I believe in a greater good/being/god. Do I know what they/he/she are/is? No. Do I know when the end of the world will come through reading their scripture? No. What I do know, is that that greater being is made up of love. That is it. I do not believe in living a life drowned in the teachings of a church. I believe that church is excellent for one who would like to live a structured life, but I do not think that if there is a God, somewhere out there, he would be so black and white. Is there such thing as heaven or hell? I'm not sure. But neither is anyone else because the battle between science and religion still, and will remain until humans no longer exist. Humans long for something to believe in. We want to know the answers to things... why does the apple fall from the tree for instance? And I believe that is why us humans have come up with this/these god figure(s) that so prominantly dominate cultures across the world. How is it that they all have their own idea of the apocolypse? How is it that they all have their own idea of morals and guidelines that must be followed in order to be a true believer? And why is it that so many sacrafices are required in order to be, in this day and age, considered a true believer of ones religion.

I'm pretty much just tossing all of this out there. I'm sorry how completely all over the board this post may sound, but I'm running low on time. haha.

Also, me and you seem to share the same interests in etheogens. IT was actually quite odd reading through your post and watching names come up like Aldous Huxley, Rick Strassman, and Martin Ball. All of these names I have come across in my own collective studies of etheogens and hallucinogenic drugs. These things, for whatever reason, just get me thinking. Life. Love. God. Truth. Misconceptions. All of them. What if it is true that Huxley was right? And our brain is actually able to take in much more than we as humans are currently opperating it on. What if these drugs really do bring you to a world unlike ours, but at the same time... exactly like ours.

I have had my own experiences with Mushrooms. I am 16, almost 17 years old. Yes, I know what you're thinking. "Ahhh... one of those kids." Well, I took shrooms for the first time on my own. and sat in my room. and thought. that's it. I think that it is very well possible that these "drugs" can open doors that have been waiting to be opened, holding secrets to the very essence of life. Could this all just be a huge misconception and my entire theory is just some crazy talk? Yes. This has come to mind, and I completely understand those of you who may think that. But is it not also possible that I might be correct, and that these plants, when ingested, reveal secrets?

DMT. The Business Man's Drug. It's quite amazing to think that this little bugger is the strongest hallucinogen currently known... and yet it is produced in our brains. DMT is also believed to be produced during near death experiences.

Anyways, I realize I'm all over the board here, im sorry, I'm just running out of time. I would love to chat more about this topic if you would like to email me at Ryantheguitarfreak@yahoo.com
Thanks for your time!

By the way, try looking into that DMT and it's connections to near death experiences... it's quite fascinating!
Also, www.peyoteway.org you might find interesting.
Oh, and(haha), Rick Strassman is currently working on a movie about DMT, if you go to his website, which I'm pretty sure you posted, there is a preview of it. Also looks very interesting!

Thanks again. :)
