Yes He is. There is nothing doctrinally or in principle about God that is in conflict with conservatism. One could also (and more correctly) say that conservatism is of God.
So God is on the side of many who many often marry (Ginrich etc), who send naughty emails to young boys (Foley), those who see prostitutes, (Vitter), who sleep with friends wife (Nevada senator).
These are sins, not conservatism.
I find it sad that respect for the office is so low. He is the Chief Executive and this kind of low-level slagging demeans the office as well as the person holding it.
I respect the office. That is why I oppose the man who's tainting it.

There is nothing whatsoever in scripture or LDS doctrine that is in opposition to conservatism. On the other hand, political liberalism violates scripture and doctrine at almost every turn.

I've done so several times on this board alone. In the UO, there are no price controls or command economies. There is private property and profit taking. There is the freedom to enter into the arrangement or leave it as one wishes. The decision as to how much to contribute is ultimately controlled by the individual. God is a conservative.
I very, very much doubt that there are as many as 1,000,000 million Christians within America that are actually praying for the death of President Barack Obama.
