Is that your way of admitting that, not only do you have no direct evidence, you also haven't even formed a conceptually coherent theory of how ESP is supposed to work?

You see why calling out someone else's strawman is quite silly of you? They understand how the human body works. They understand that perception relies upon our neural network, a network which operates via electrochemical reactions of which the smallest unit of importance are valence electrons which operate according the very consistent laws of chemistry.

What you have are feelings about a subject, and, because of your cognitive dissonance, you are unable to even conceive of a reality where you are wrong. You laugh at studies that have been done in all seriousness, yet you can't provide an explanation why they fail... or even why a study suggesting ESP is real could be right. You don't posit forth a mechanism in which to examine.

You are a member of your own cult with loosely affiliated beliefs. You have jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire. You substitute your own failure to achieve understanding by embracing a new fiction. You haven't actually done the real work to gain knowledge. Which is why you still miss meeting the basic points I originally raised.

You believe in something based on your spiritual experiences. So does anyone who is Mormon, Catholic, Muslim, Hindu, an animist, or a shaman. That is fine, I have no problem with that. However, if you are going to actively tell other people that they believe incorrectly, while you know the truth, then you are going to have to back that up. Psychedelic drug use and the lyrics from outdated and forgotten grunge songs aren't going to convince anyone of anything.

And that is basically what you asked us to do. You asked us to take your word for it because of your own personal experience and demonstrate that you don't know how these psychedelic drugs actually work and you can't explain how what you believe in actually occurs. Then you act like it is ridiculous to question your conclusions.

As for schizophrenia, I agree with Grof when he says that many times profound spiritual awakenings are mistaken as psychosis, however they are part of that persons evolution and need to be experienced, not suppressed with medication and treatment. However, there are some complete psychos that need to be medicated and locked up, but only if they are violent. Jung's ideas about synchronicity archetypes and other explanations for those as he put it who "had convinced themselves of the paranormal" came from his study of a schizophrenic patient. In shamanism people who heard voices and conversed with spirits were considered holy men or witches if evil. However, even in shamanism there is a line drawn where some people are simply known to have lost it. They are wise enough to tell the difference.

I don't know that I would agree with that, and I actually think it is a ignorant and pretty dangerous idea to yeild a medical problem to a supernatural belief. Looking at this from a biological viewpoint, the brain is missing something that ordinarily a healthy individual has. Just the unpredictable nature of a brain malfunction should be enough that medication that normalizes the brain function should always be the route to take (extenuating circumstances asside, like if the medication's side affects hinder the quality of life, etc.)
