Dan,
Did you ask that posts be removed--either here or at MAD?

The mods of this forum "move" posts..... Thus, it's likely that anti-mormons as usual simply aren't reflecting on what the actual facts are, and thus reacting emotionally and non-factually, based on conspiracy theory and their fantasy's on Mormons and Mormonism.

I’ve tried FAIR, MADB, etc., but nothing really helps much. My question is: what is the Church doing to improve this state of things, and are things getting better in this regard?
I, for one, would very much like to hear your answer...
That is an interesting question. Correcting legend with actual history sounds great, but is there too much impetus against making such a correction and would traditional apologetics help or hinder this process?

Simon, I don't know how you missed this, but Dan doesn't answer substantive questions on this forum or MDD. If you want to talk about how many friends he has, what he is doing this evening, where he is traveling to next to shill for Mormonism, then that is fine. But asking him substantive questions won't get you anywhere.

Dan did not ask that any posts be removed from here. And, even if he did, we don't remove posts at MDB.
We do, however, have strict moderating policies in the Celestial Forum. It is possible that threads could have been split and/or moved to other forums on the board.

No offense, but Shades does. He did that to me.

Shades did not remove your posts. He merged them with another thread. That is different than deleting them.
Although I understand that you disagree with his decision on that, and, I would have probably made a different decision, he still did not out and out delete any of your posts.

If any posts were actually deleted anywhere -- I don't know whether any were -- it wasn't done by me or at my order or with my knowledge.
Bishop Peterson of a young adult ward,
That is not entirely true, is it?

I can't recall deleting even a single post, nor so much as asking that even a single post be deleted -- let alone thousands.
But there are people here who apparently monitor everything I do and say very, very carefully, and, if they feel that they can cite a counterexample, they're more than welcome to do so. At that point, should it be necessary, I'll deal with the triumphant accusations that I'm a proven liar, etc.

You didn't.
I assume you're joking.
Somewhat, but I was trying to characterize the statement you made about David Whitmer as a witness. Maybe I could try again without the "clumsy attempt at humor".
I believe your analogy was intended to point out that expertise in one area (Whitmer as a witness) does not mean he is an expert in others. In this case it seems to be in any other area in which he disagreed with Joseph Smith. Fair enough?
By the way I mentioned to my father, a man I greatly respect, that I attended one of your firesides and that I occasionally asked you questions online, he gave you rave reviews.
"Any over-ritualized religion since the dawn of time can make its priests say yes, we know, it is rotten, and hard luck, but just do as we say, keep at the ritual, stick it out, give us your money and you'll end up with the angels in heaven for evermore."
