Wow! Very well done.

My homage to Scratchian Mopologetic Theater, with obvious rip-off of the theme from Some Schmo...

It's clear you've got a great knack for portraiture, something I'd like to improve my skills on. When I was riding the train to work, I used to sketch fellow passengers in ink since the shakey train cars provided a good challenge for line drawing. I'd really like to see more of your work if you have an online sketch book or something.

I'm glad you contributed to this fun thread!

I've put a couple things up on Facebook. If you have an account you can see some pencil and charcoal work here and some of my BYU and church editorial cartoons here.

Thanks! Those were cool to see. I really liked your Joseph Smith cartoons!

Holy Crap, Mak, you've got some awesome stuff! And I particularly liked the Book of Mormon, Golden Plate, and Peter, James, and John ones. I love the one of PJ&J where one of them mad at John for not saying the prayer right. Pretty funny.

Thanks y'all. I haven't done much work artwork lately, but I've been looking for an excuse to get back into it.
I like you Betty...

I have a suggestion for you. You know how the church shows this old artwork of Joseph Smith poring over the golden plates, with or without the funky spectacles, while Oliver Cowdery writes down what Joseph is Saying on the other side of a handkerchief or other cloth? And you know how some critic artists have drawn unflattering pictures of Joseph Smith with his face buried in his hat?

Maybe you could think about this for a while, roll the concept over in your noggin for a while, and recast the whole scene in a way that is both faithful to the true process as far as we know it, and yet something you'd be willing to show to other Mormons. I think that would be awesome. I'd love to see what you came up with.
