Re: My Column in the "Mormon Times"
I've been out of the country, and, for that reason, didn't get around to calling attention to this latest specimen of my immortal prose:
http://www.mormontimes.com/article/2019 ... h-meetings
Knowing how some here -- most obviously, Scratch -- hang on my every word, I didn't want to neglect my obligations.

thank you for this reminder, Dr. Peterson. Why it wasn't but two days ago I was back to my usual habits of tuning people out and wishing there was more significance to the meetings I was in. Silly me.

Daniel,
I'm staggered at the high opinion you have of yourself.
Aren't followers of Mormonism supposed to be humble? Humble is one thing that you ain't.
Does it bother you that the fee's you receive for your self publicised articles come from members tithing payments?
(Some people think you may be an idiot don't do the Hinkley style response of 'no tithing funds were used' and remove their element of doubt)

'Church pictures are not always accurate' (The Nehor May 4th 2011)
Morality is doing what is right, regardless of what you are told.
Religion is doing what you are told, regardless of what is right.

There is a lot of irony in DCP's descriptions of his columns.
You have to understand that for years many here have been trying to portray him as a malevolent manipulator, bent on self-aggrandizement, deception, and in constant conflict with mythical Church factions they've invented. This is his way of poking fun at their insanity.
"Surely he knows that DCP, The Nehor, Lamanite, and other key apologists..." -Scratch clarifying my status in apologetics

Good piece, Dr. peterson.
Not to think me on the level of angels, but I can't help but look upon a lot of the attempts by critics here and say something similar--aren't they cute?
And an image came into my mind, of God, seated upon his throne, beckoning to the angels to come over and stand by him. "Look down there," he tells them. "It's the high priests. They're doing theology. Aren't they cute? And they're so serious!"

Seriously Daniel, why not mention your missionary efforts from this site in your latest article? Reaching out to the lost here should have been mentioned. I think I will make a comment on your article on how you are one of few voices of reason here at MDB. Oh wait, .... I can't make comments on your article?

The Mormon Times doesn't have a separate place for comments, but the Deseret News apparently does.
