Do you think that it would have been possible to find poverty, homelessness, women and children in distressed situations, cancer sufferers etc in the UK in 2009? Do you think it would have been possible to find causes worthy spending slightly more tha £11,000 on?
Do you think charities such as... The Red Cross Marie Curie (cancer support) NSPCC The Samaritans ...could have found use for more than £11,000 on behalf of these good humanitarian causes?
Your comment and sarcasm is misplaced on this subject. £11,000 wouldn't cover the travel costs of the six Mission Presidents in Great Britain and yet God's one true Church couldn't 'find' it in its collective heart to spend more than that on good causes in 2009.
What a hypocritical disgrace.
Fast offering counts toward humanitarian aid as well.
If the tithing number in ratio to the number of members in GB is proportionate to the rest of the world, then the Church will receive £2.3 billion In tithing donations this year (based on 14 million members).
Also if the Church in GB has a net worth of £270 million with 185,000 members, could we extrapolate that to suggest that the worldwide Church has a net worth of £20.5 billion?

Morality is doing what is right, regardless of what you are told. Religion is doing what you are told, regardless of what is right.

Are you counting all the businesses the church owns?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Harmony, am I being a bit thick? I can't find the quote so I don't know what/who you're asking.
I'm excited that Nevo found the lost revelation, so I'm hoping he posts a link.

Not helpful, Nevo. You know what I'm looking for and it's nowhere to be found in the canon. So... where is it?
