Say what? You realize you just put the prophet up against a wall and called him a liar?
I wonder why it is that you associate the prophet with this world? Do you think that a prophet speaks for himself? I am sure at times he does. But when speaking for God as His mouthpiece the prophet is not of this world. If indeed this world is made and the laws are a choice of God then how can it contain truth? It is like saying a painting has truth or a car. They are things made. If someone does utter a truth where did the truth come from? Is truth absolute and if so then it is outside of this creation. This creation can come and go but truth does not change.

Or the LDS church... although to be fair, I usually use the post office, not a painting or a car.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Perhaps they are foolish to God. The ideas is how is one to gain knowledge about whether they are or not. The church teaches this is through the HG, so we get back to what I asked. Could you explain how one discerns or recognizes the holy Ghost is communicating with them?
Man is confused and has little understanding of anything.
Truth is not in this world.
Could you provide a definition for truth, and are you LDS?

If the LDS church is of man then I agree. But if it has a spiritual start then that is truth, but much of what followed is probably not. Give me a year or two and I will figure it all out on my own.

Once you walk in the spirit then discerning the Holy Spirit is like a drunk falling down. It requires no skill at that point. But the path is easy and many say they want it but will not do the things to obtain it. It is so easy to get there but it requires one to cut the cords to this world. Most people refuse to do this. I have read post from many people who say they seek but will not go beyond an intellectual investigation. It is hard in the sense that the world has a powerful draw to the flesh. I have laid out the path as best I could. The rest is up to you. There is nothing I can do to help. I can tell you to read 1 John many times to see the path. John is the one who loved God as much as Daniel. Only through this kind of love can God reveal the difficult messages. Now does the love of God make one perfect? Of course not, even John worshiped an angel in heaven by mistake.

So what must a Investigator do to follow the path, and how will tell them they can discern or recognize the holy Ghost is communicating with them? This is an easy question you have not addressed yet.
You still have not said whether you are LDS, and would you define truth as well. :)

I am LDS. Check prior post for steps to spirituality.

Ok. I wondered since at least one point you made earlier was not consistent with LDS doctrine. You seem to have a number of ideas that are not typical LDS, so if you are a member I am guessing you may be a convert.
So what is your definition of truth?
Also can you address the original question listed below?
Could you explain how one discerns or recognizes the holy Ghost is communicating with them?
Truths are the messages from God that have not been altered by man. We can also communicate a truth, like when I say I went to the bank when I in fact did go to the bank. I am saying something that actually happened. In a sense that is how a truth happens. When God says something all of reality will re-alter itself to make it so.
But man considers many things true that are in reality just relationships of things made.

There are none tdhen. At least, there are none that come through prophets.
