Indeed. Where is it? The percentages seem to remain the same.
A General Authority and Church historian from 2005 to 2011 wrote:The fifteen men really do know, and they really care. And they realize that maybe since Kirtland, we never have had a period of, I’ll call it apostasy, like we’re having right now; largely over these issues.
Of course, we must be careful not to trust Jensen, after all:

Jensen wrote:When people say to me, “How do you rationalize being a Democrat?” I just say I take everything that’s true and good and hang onto it. And the basic, historically the basic foundational principles of the Democratic Party have appealed to me more. But that’s a matter really of personal choice, it has nothing to do with our salvation.
Jensen wrote:But I think I could safely say that one of the things that prompted this discussion in the first place was the regret that’s felt about the decline of the Democratic Party and the notion that may prevail in some areas that you can’t be a good Mormon and a good Democrat at the same time. There have been some awfully good men and women who have, I think, been both and are both today. So I think it would be a very healthy thing for the church—particularly the Utah church—if that notion could be obliterated.
You might want to give Marlin K. Jensen a call and tell him all is well in Zion. He seems to have a different understanding of the situation.
Sure. His understanding seems to be:
“I have heard that our overall activity, especially in the United States, is as good as it’s ever been,” he said. “To say we are experiencing some Titanic-like wave of apostasy is inaccurate.”

Buffalo said: "It's a big problem because they've been teaching propaganda instead of history for years. So not only do they have to deal with an unflattering real history, but they also have to deal with the fact that they've been systematically lying to the membership."
Me: A more difficult thing to do with every moment of procrastination. Today's and tomorrow's people will continue to ask until they eventually receive the truth. Whether in this millennium or the next, or the next. . .
Someone else said, "Their goose is cooked! It's too late to do anything!"
Me: It's never too late to confess and eat Humble Pie. IF you're sincere & have the integrity to face-up.
I thought Thomas S. Monson might be the man to do that. To this point he hasn't. So I haven't sustained him as a Prophet. . .
Why would I think TSM might have the integrity non others have had?
Because, I well remember his initial priesthood talk in the Ossington Ave Chapel, in Toronto, when he became the new Canadian Mission President, replacing Pres. J.Earl Lewis, in the mid '50's. . . TSM told the story of the deceit he couldn't live with when he misrepresented himself in a School Band. In that situation he pretended he was playing his instrument, when in fact he was making believe. He consequently confessed, was forgiven, learned to play and took an honest position in the band.
IF TSM were to do that, (confess re Mormonism AND Christianism) LDSism could well become what it professes to be: The only truthful Christian church in Chistendom. . .
It's not the USA Constitution that is hanging by a thread (Mormon mythology) It is the Mormon Church along with its kindred types that hang by a thread. A thread growing weaker as knowledge lifts humanity out of the remaining depths of mental and emotional poverty that stand in the way of knowing the whole-truth-that-frees. . .
“I have heard that our overall activity, especially in the United States, is as good as it’s ever been,” he said. “To say we are experiencing some Titanic-like wave of apostasy is inaccurate.”

That's right. If only a handful of members leave each year, we will keep growing exponentially. Elder Jensen is an old guy, perhaps for the sake of his blood pressure, he was on alarmist sounding medications that day in Logan.

Incoveniently for you, he did.
