Tertullian makes reference to the Lord's Day being a festive day. Doesn't sound like a rest day to me.
Others, with greater regard to good manners, it must be confessed, suppose that the sun is the god of the Christians, because it is a well-known fact that we pray towards the east, or because we make Sunday a day of festivity.

Wikipedia defines Sabbath as generally a weekly day of rest or worship! Again, the point I am making is that the Sabbath day was changed to the first day of week, and it has been restored as the first day of the week.

The LDS church did not restore what was anciently practiced and that would by my point.
They basically did what the religions of their youth did and Brigham added some more Old Testament crap on top.

I thought we were talking about Sunday and Sabbath worship in this thread.

Yea, when I stated "restored," I meant that it was part of the teachings of the primitive church which was restored as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. In fact, there is a revelation in the D & C which confirms the correctness of the Sunday worship.

Almost everyone here understands LDS stance on it. I am just not sure why it matters. Most Christians worship on Sunday.
At least I didn't try to insult you with it. My point is that we all know LDS doctrine on this, so why bring it up. Even most Christians have Sunday as the sabbath.
