No need to bump. I answered you earlier in the thread like this:

No, I accept that artificial insemination is a method available to God. Of course that also means that, at some point that God masturbated...
(you didn't really think your position through did you?)

Good point Subgenious! Why Sub? Yes, we are not left alone to depend solely upon our own judgment, we also have the Spirit and the light of Christ to help us. So, if the prophet told us all to kill ourselves, unlike many of the followers of James Jones, we should be able to tell that something was wrong, especially with those helps.

Yup. Drifting and company don't understand Mormonism in the slightest. Their representation of Mormonism is usually a complete misrepresentation or completely out-of-date. They certainly don't understand how Mormons view the brethren and why we don't feel tied to what they say, unless God reveals what they say as being true. Otherwise, it is purely their opinion whether said in passing on a elevator or from the pulpit.

Okay, so instead of the Primary Hymn being "Follow the Prophet" it should instead be "Follow the Prophet if You Agree With Him".
And instead of "The Prophet will never lead you astray " the phrase should be "If the Prophet leads you astray it's your own fault for agreeing with him".
And instead of "The living Prophet is more important to us than scripture" it should be "The living Prophet is more important to us than scripture but less important than how you feel about what he says."
Got it.

Yet you suggest that you do, but when asked you can't provide anything other then an assertion without substance. Can't be from God or that must have been a very long experience in which you think God came to you.

actually you still don't "got it". The Spirit can often contradict what i "agree" with. Your post here still exemplifies an egocentric view of the concept, a view you can not seem to escape from......and until you actually have a fundamental understanding of the Spirit and its role in our faith, you will never "get it".....got that?

you misunderstand...its not a notion of "what you think"

When Paul H Dunn told his war stories (I sat next to him on the stand on one occassion where he spoke) and the spirit testified of his words (lies) to virtually every member of the congregation. What was its role?

Oh, I don't think Themis comments come from a misunderstanding. He just makes asinine comments because he can't tolerate the concept that the other 95% of humanity really believe in a supreme being or that there is a reasonable way to view Mormonism. As far as I can tell, he's not interested in a real discussion of the "truth" about God or Mormonism. All he does lately is follows me from thread to thread making the same immature comments and I just ignore him. Someone behaving like that is completely uninteresting to talk to and their agenda is blatantly clear to anyone that reads their acid laced statements.
