The majority of the growth claimed in membership comes from people in impoverished circumstances, because they are most open to blossoming spirituality. The Church converts very few people of wealth.

Happens all the time, not sure why you think this is a uninformed observation. I did not claim that the church's 1400 part-time positions fall into this situation, I simply stated that I hate companies that do this.

Oh, well...surely this "informed observation" of yours is truly that....so, exactly which companies have you observed doing just that?...in other words, do you have evidence for this alleged "informed observation"?

and they are given temporal solutions in order to facilitate the spiritual blossoming...your point here is rather dull.

1. Old folks home in Heber, where my daughter works 30 hours a week, for this exact reason.
2. Radiologist assistants I've been seeing daily for the last month … 30 hour weeks, same reason.

There's two for you that I observe daily ... now tell me you don't know of places that work people 30hr weeks. Maybe you have just never asked youself why this is

instruction on temporal topics, assistance for food and housing, fellow-shipping and networking, etc..
The actions serve to put that person in a position to blossom

sez you
where is the proof?
you know where is the smoking gun?
where is the video, document, testimony etc.. that clearly states that your daughter works 30 hours a week because I am avoiding paying health/other benefits....not can not pay...but "avoiding" paying...you further claim that this sort of behavior "happens all the time"...so surely a truckload of actual evidence is at your disposal.

Where does spending $5 billion dollars worth of widows mite on a non profit making commercial development in Salt Lake City fit into that?

Come on, stop avoiding the question; where does it fit into the whole 'providing for members temporal needs' strategy?
It's not going make a financial return.
It's not created a mass of long term jobs.
It's not in a city with the most pressing employment needs.
It's not been used to build anything related to the four fold mission if the Church.

If the Church has $5 billion dollars (cash) to spend, then the people holding the purse strings ought to be treating it like the widows mite. Especially when people are starving to death and living on the street.
