Hi Albion,

You just had another one of your posts duplicated. Since you can't delete the post, you can edit it by deleting what is in the post. Then type in the words "duplicate post" so that readers will know what happened.

I do not doubt that the Holy Ghost is working in you and with you. You love Christ, and you love God! You are on the right track. I'm just trying to point out to you things that I wish someone had made more clear to me many years ago, which are the very same things I am sharing with you about how to increase the amount of Truth which the Holy Spirit will reveal to you. But you need to prepare yourself in order to receive. Meh...maybe they did try to share with me but their words just went right over my head because I wasn't ready to hear them yet.

Additionally, I have shared what some of those parts of Truth are which have been revealed to me. Since you won't even address the questions I ask, I can only assume that you don't know how to answer them. It is most possible that you have never thought of those questions before. You have admitted, though, that you don't know how it is that God will save those who have never heard the Gospel. That is a fair and completely honest answer. I would just offer, however, that it IS possible to understand much more than you currently do. It will take work on your part in continually asking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit whenever you study Scripture, and whenever you pray. It also takes a conscious effort to let go of what you have previously been taught - even talk to God about that. He hears all of your prayers. If you are sincerely seeking more Truth, He will guide you in your journey towards people and events which will place you where you need to be. Then, when you are prepared spiritually, He will pour more Truth out to your spirit via the Holy Spirit.

Yes, it is a most wonderful journey!!

Peace,

jo

How can Albion tell that it's the real Holy Spirit and not some imposter?

Jo, it appears that you are laboring under a false assumption that I think somehow I know everything. Of course study is important, of course that study brings more understanding of God and his will for our lives. What I submit is that it does not change in any way is the saved condition of the believer. Salvation does not in any way depend on what we do, only on what He has done.

You can keep repeating that false doctrine over and over Albion, but it will never change the truthfulloness of Mormon doctrine or Christ words whenj He stated, "IF THOU WILT ENTER INTO LIFE, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS."!!!!!!!

Tell me. gdemetz, do you keep all the commandments? Have you reached perfection yet? Do you think you will ever be perfect?

Absolutely! I think that I will be, but not in this life. Do you think that Christ would be so foolish as to give us a commandment that we had no hope of ever achieving?! He commanded us to be like our Heavenly Father!

Romans 5:
20 The Ten Commandments were given so that all could see the extent of their failure to obey God’s laws. But the more we see our sinfulness, the more we see God’s abounding grace forgiving us.
21 Before, sin ruled over all men and brought them to death, but now God’s kindness rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Absolutely what exactly? That you keep all the commandments...that you are perfect? No, I don't think Jesus would be foolish to tell us such a thing but there has only been one perfect person who has ever lived and he was the one who gave the charge in the first place. And that charge can only be fulfilled when we accept the free gift (no charge else it's not free) of salvation which "justifies us freely" before God. You work all you want for a reward you can never attain...I'll rest in the complete redemption (do you know what redeemed means)Jesus gave me at Calvary and I'll work to show him my love and gratitude for what he has done.

As Paul said, a man who lived the letter of the Law in his forme life, had an abundance of knowledge but who admitted that he still struggled with personal failings: "But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing (supreme above everything else) greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, thast I may gain Christ, AND BE FOUND IN HIM, NOT HAVING A RIGHTEOUSNESS OF MY OWN THAT COMES FROM THE LAW, BUT THAT WHICH IS THROUGH FAITH IN Christ ---THE RIGHTEOUSNESS THAT COMES FROM GOD AND IS BY FAITH."

Righteousness comes from God through faith. Did you get that...righteousness comes from God through faith and that faith is through Christ Jesus who paid the price of sin once and for all. You throw God's free gift back in his face when you claim you can achieve it by works of law because free means without strings attached. It just isn't free if you have to earn it.

Mittens, the commandments were not just given so that we could see how miserably we would fail!!! They were given for us to keep! "IF THOU WILT ENTER INTO LIFE, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS." Jesus Christ

You mentioned faith, Albion, and you think that you have it, but you don't! I show my faith by more than evangelical lip service! I show my faith by my works in trying my beat to keep the commandments and become perfect, as Christ stated, and I have enough faith to believe that Christ will help me become perfect as He commanded!!!

You must disagree with the Bible ? Already knew that thou from your posts

Romans 5:
20 God’s law was given so that all people could see how sinful they were. But as people sinned more and more, God’s wonderful grace became more abundant.
21 So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Mercy = Not getting what you deserve
Grace = Getting what you can never deserve
