The severance offered is pretty typical for a case like this. My guess is that Rosebud consulted with other attorneys and soon realized that the money offered was within the range of what she could expect. Hence, the birth of Rosebud, our delicate flower victim, and the campaign of vindictiveness.

I'm only on page 7 of reading this thread. Could someone tell me in one sentence or two, why JD didn't give her her stuff back? Would giving her her stuff back have given her a level of access that could have potentially led to her trying to continue the relationship?

The best I can figure is that access to her original areas of influence heavily overlapped with what Dehlin was doing. Since Dehlin, and probably the Open Stories Foundation board too, wanted a clean break between Dehlin and her, there was no outcome where she could continue her previous work. Open Stories Foundation seemed willing for her to be in charge of and be an influence in areas where Dehlin did not have a presence.

In the midst of trying to kick Joanna Brooks to the curb, Rosebud was asking to be made a Mormon Stories blog contributor and to be given administrator-level privileges on the Facebook page. If I had been in JD’s shoes, that is when my Spidey-sense would have started tingling big time.

Page 24 now. Wasn't MS Open Stories Foundation a 501c3 Non-profit? If so, who here has seen the board policies at the time in question? Did any of the policies cover reporting procedures? If so, what were they? Did they address workplace harassment? Anything relevant to the events? It sounds as if it was a board in-name-only and not a functioning governing board.

Was there no requirement as to board policies due to the less than 15 employee rule?
