Ignore this one too!

No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

How would you know what Jesus really said. How do you know the New Testament actually represents Jesus's words accurately or at all? You seem to be just making assumptions based on what you think man has said about the accuracy of the Biblical record.
Why would his disciples die for a lie they made up themselves?

So you really don't know the Bible is the word of God from God, but think it is true from what you think you understand about historical events in regards to the Bible. That's fine. I was just trying to see where you are coming from.

Undated, unverified internet photos of supposed chariot wheels does not constitute proof of anything.
Finding a wheel lying on the bottom of the Red Sea is hardly unusual. That strait of water has been trafficed for thousands of years up to and including WW II and the Egyptian-Israel wars of the 20th C. Countless thousands of ships have left remains all over the sea floor. That wheels were present on these ships is hardly a matter of conjecture. A wheel covered in corral does not prove that the wheel was an ancient chariot wheel.
You'll have to do better than that.
And in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love...you make. PMcC

Hi LittleNipper!
Hang in there! We can teach the Gospel message; but we cannot force anyone to accept Christ. They must do it of their own free will. Just keep trying to love everyone.
Blessings,
jo

Do you not realise that people can trick themselves into believing all sorts of nonsense that they themselves have generated? Especially if there is a reward to the lie; such as an increase in notoriety, fame, wealth, or personal ego.
Was David Koresh what he said he was?
He was certainly willing to die for that which he believed, even if it was he himself who started the whole belief system.

i never said anything about the basis for "my" testimony....but thanks for using your imagination
Why be dishonest with what he said?
please, show me where i was being dishonest?
He clearly stated that the Bible was a work of imagination
He clearly used a quote from Einstein to validate his arguement
and
He clearly stated that when spiritual belief and science are in conflict it requires the former to be "subordinate" to the latter.
your turn

He can believe what he wants as you can. I think it might be wise tom believe things that are actually true, but you know he probably thinks you are going to hell for your beliefs.

I think you already know, otherwise why not use your original quote which uses the word authority.

I know the Book of Mormon is not from God. I know the Koran is not from God. They contradict the Bible and yet both cling to portions of the Bible for their own support. I know the Bible has never been proven wrong. Somethings have been questioned, but not discredited. I accept Jesus to be my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ fulfills and embraces the entire Old Testament. Jesus Christ lives and sanctions the entire New Testament.
