That's right....God did it by magic...

All you need to say is "God could have ...", and all of the problems go away.
Really, I don't know why the defenders bother with any other "argument" when, in the end, this is what it all boils down to, this is the Trump card.

What kind of a magical God would choose to let His little children suffer these kinds of horrors?
And if we are speaking about the flood specifically - you are left with God using magic to make sure the animals didn't die but not using magic to save the infants and innocents of the world from drowning.

People with little understanding of God always want to cry out that "God lets babies go hungry" or "God does not let me own a Ferrari"....in other words they always consider their own priority, their own interest, and their own "the way things should be" occupy their every thought, their every concept.
"I can't understand it so it must not be true" is the mantra of those who, for whatever reason, were never able to stomach the milk and now have so much indigestion trying to eat meat......and so the rest of us get to read their belching.
subgenius wrote:why is it so difficult to comprehend that simple concept....are you stating that you do not think magic is super cool?
Would you be more satisfied if God did it by Erlenmeyer flask and Bunsen burner?
Besides, if one accepts that God made the flood occur then surely He accommodated the logistics of having the animals on the ark, maybe everyone took a nap? If He is powerful enough to flood the earth then poop disposal ain't nothing but a thang.
Drifting wrote:Nice rant.
However, if you accept God could 'magic' away the scientific challenges of the flood story then you have to accept He could prevent those ills of which we speak. You have to accept He chooses not to.
Drifting wrote:P.S. What year do you think the flood happened?
